I am the perfect example because I think the PROcede is priced too low for the amount of features that you get? You aren't making much sense Steven, thats not surprising though.....

I'm waiting for the front end end of the User software to be finished too. Good news is that it's been done on my Tuner/master version of the software for some time and it's working just peachy. It's pretty darn "idiotproof" for lack of a better term.
During this delay, I've been able to implement another useful feature that will be on the v3.1 software. Just finished testing it today: Valet Speed Limit Now you will be able to set the valet map's speed limit. In other words, if you want to limit max speed to parking lot speeds, you can do that. If you want to limit it to 80mph so your wife can't take the car and go street racing, you can do that too. When the user definable speed limit is reached, the throttle simply closes and the car stops accelerating. Just as if you were hitting the factory speed limit at 130 or 155mph. This is something I've always been to implement because the valet/stock map, with 300bhp and 130-155mph max speeds) is still plenty ballsy enough to get someone into trouble. With this feature, all you need to do is set the valet map's max speed with your laptop. Then the next time you give your car to a valet, your son, your friend, etc, you just take the remote keyfob with you and they will not be able to activate the normal maps. In fact, the only way they can get around it is by physically removing the PROcede Shiv Last edited by OpenFlash; 10-14-2008 at 02:21 AM.. |

How about go cart speed? Wait a minute, that might not be slow - I've seen a picture somewhere of Shiv hauling ass in a go cart.

cool new feature. Only time I could see me using it would literally be for valet purposes.
shiv- I dont know if I've seen this or not, but does the logging software show timiing being pulled? ex.= i'm runnig race gas and was to up the TQ settings, but i'm not sure where I am no longer adding HP/TQ by upping the settings. It would be great to be able to see where we are pushing too far and back it off from there.

We might as well discuss this while we're waiting for V3.1 So what is / how do we determine the point of diminishing returns on UT settings without having access to a dyno? Is it truly when the ECU starts to pull timing, or does that only occur when knock is detected? If we're running race gas, when does that happen? I am sure that Shiv has an answer to this since I doubt many people have his experience screwing with UT settings on the PROcede LOL |

Short of that, you can establish optimal User Torque by careful datalog analysis (runs conducted on flat road on windless day). Just need to look at time elapsed between speed points. Shiv Shiv |

I have a question about this; Will they be able to take the procede of Valet mode using the homelink buttons? If so, How could we prevent this? Thanks. |
