I don't know who can answer this question? Maybe stupid@@, I am curious that the e90, e91, e92, e93, 323i DMEs from 2005 to 2008 are all MSV70s. I wonder if they can share tunes?

2005 models probably run the MSV80 and by 2008 most N52 models were running MSV80. The files are not compatible.

A 328i is a 3.0 engine. You can't put a 3.0 tune into a 2.5, it won't work.

All the instructions and the 325i n52b25 msv80 file are in post #89 of this thread. Follow the instructions down the bottom and it should work.

THX EvaBmw:Is cheerio's POST( S8608465_edit.zip)=DME right? But BimmerLabs does not have RSA for MSV80

EvaBmw: This is really weird... I tried to make RSA with 2009-328i, Bimmerlabs doesn't have RSA! As a result, I tried the 2008 528i, but there is RSA, can it be used?

What you want is a 325I (ER version with the 2.5 engine) tune running about 160KW. I'm pretty sure this is requires a 3 stage manifold installed in your car.

Also, I'm having a really rough time located a standard calibration file for that car assume is a VB12 but I keep hitting dead ends in the Daten folder. Maybe just to tired but I keep pulling ZB numbers in the history file that don't exist in the Dat file. By chance, do you have a Vin number for a 325 EU with the 2.5 liter N52?
I made an idea, can you please help me to check if the method is correct?
1.Because BimmerLabs does not have DME80-323 325 328i RSA, I use 528i-N52N-RSA, because in MSV70, I see E60 and E90 are
also the same RSA, so I think that MSV80 should be the same, because both It is the same MSV80.

2. Flash the DME part, on cheerio#89 page, flash his program.

3. In the gearbox part, I have seen ISTA and confirmed that it is the ZF transmission system. Can I use the GKE211 program that (Information correction: it is not a ZF gearbox, it should be a GM)
you helped dindf? Does this have anything to do with DME80?

Hope to get help, I have owned this car for a long time, and I have never modified any parts of this car.

Not too sure about that sorry. What sort of k+dcan cable do you have? You must use a BIMMERGEEKS cable or there is a very high chance you will brick your ECUs.

YAP:I use a BIMMERGEEKS cable,Because my E90 is MSV80, I need someone with the ability to help me confirm the flash problem. In addition, on the Bimmerlabs website, I don’t know why. E90 after 2007 does not have RSA files, but E60-N52N has RSA files. , I guess maybe they are all MSV80, so there is no difference.

While I have done very little work with the MSV80, I'm pretty sure the program file (*.0PA ) for every chassis will be the same. That means the RSA delete file will be the same as it's simply a modified 0PA file. You will need a chassis specific tune. That involves making a 1 byte change in the Binary and passing it back through Bimmerlabs for a flash-able calibration file ( *.0DA) file.

Need to be very carful with the ZF transmissions, there were two versions. Did you happen to catch the Program # or ZB number when you were in INSTA?

Thank you for replying to me when you are busy. Now I just want to confirm the RSA file first. I saw that 2008-528-RSA and 2009-Z4-30 RSA have the same file name, so I downloaded and compared their OPA. The file comparison is the same, because the RSA file is an important first step. I am worried that the file names are the same, but the RSA content is different, and it turns out that they are all the same. Is it correct to compare RSA OPA files like this? Can I use MSV80's RSA?

If the two files are the same, yes. I was 99% sure they were already.

What are you planning to use as a calibration file? You will need to find one that has the powerclass byte modified to 0. If none exists, it's not hard to create.

Do you mean my 323-325 program? Regarding this, I want to use # 8 9 cheerio. After all, it has been posted on the website. I am still a little worried. I can submit my DME-ZB. Can you help me? ?Because I think you are the savior of this program, everyone recognizes it, at least you understand more, dindf told me this.

Downloaded tunes for the EUR 323i, EUR 325i, USA 328i and EUR 330i, all for MSV80 HW#7602220. Wrote a script to compare the files looking for a byte that could be the powerclass. I struggled for a while, as I thought EUR 325i was powerclass 1, but apparently it's powerclass 2.

Found what seems to be the powerclass byte at 0x2191; in 323i it's 0, 328i 1, and 325i/330i both 2. Edited the byte to 0 in the 325i bin, then uploaded to Bimmerlabs account to convert to 0da. Apparently, this corrects the signature at the end of the file, because it flashed ok.

2FA4 is gone, and the car seems to make a little more power than before. I've got two codes left: one for DISA #2 being missing (I haven't installed it yet), and one 2FA3 (coding missing).

There are a few threads on here talking about 2FA3, and the consensus seems to be that it's harmless and doesn't affect performance. I'd rather fix it, though.
I tried default coding the DME with NCS Expert, but this failed, with error "COAPI-2000: Fehler in EDIABAS oder in SG-Beschreibungsdatei API-0014: Ergebnis nicht vorhanden MSV80". Found a Russian forum thread which seems to suggest this is caused by some sort of region mismatch between the VO and the ECU firmware. This makes sense, as I've got an Australian vehicle, to which I've flashed the Bimmerlabs 328i RSA delete firmware (which presumably is for US vehicles). I suspect I'll need an RSA delete firmware for EUR vehicles, which doesn't seem to be available right now. Is this mismatch going to cause any performance issues?

Seeing as the tune is working, I'll attach my powerclass-edited 325i tune here. To use it:
  1. log into Bimmerlabs
  2. make a project with a 328i VIN to get the RSA delete firmware
  3. make another project for your Australian 323i
  4. unzip then upload the attached bin using the "Upload New Custom File" dialog
  5. download the generated custom 0da from the Custom Files section and flash it
Hopefully this helps my fellow Australians with 2008+ 323i!

How do I find the powerclass byte? To be honest, I don't know where to start... so I asked for help...

I was looking at HW#7602220. Seeing as your HW# is different, it's likely that the powerclass byte is stored at a different address.

Which DME does your car have? I don't have ZB#8619566 in my pile of MSV80 files. MSV80.1 perhaps?

If you can provide other ZB files for the same HW, I can find the powerclass byte address for you. Ideally I'd need 323i, 325i, 328i, and 330i ZB's.

Sir:I attached INPA to show you, yours is 7602220A, I should be 8613000A (my vin-NL99476), and 328-VIN (PX16225), 325i-VIN (VK68804), 330-VIN (VM44333), I think It’s 325. 328. 330 all (8613000) However, for 328i, I don’t have any information in bimmerlabs. (It’s 0). I see (8613000) in BMW info about 328i. I hope you can help me. Help me finish it, thank you very much.

Ran the comparison for HW#8613000.
Powerclass byte appears to be at 0x26BA. Grab the 325i tune, change that byte to 0x0, reupload to Bimmerlabs for signing, then you're good to go.

Cherio: Thank you very much. I don't have a program that can check Bin files like you. I think the program I used to check the BIN file is wrong (because I have not done this kind of file query work), can you give me a corrected (Powerclass-Bin) file? Then I will transfer to Bimmerlabs for conversion. Thank you again, can you tell me which program is used to check Bin? I really want to learn these cool things. In fact, I rarely touch these things in my work. I am an excellent skydiving instructor.

I've taken the 325i ZB#8619551 (I assume it's newer than ZB#8619537) and set powerclass byte to 0. Zip is attached.

To find the powerclass byte, I wrote a custom script in Python, which reads through all the input bins byte by byte and compares them. Nothing super fancy, but it works well for finding powerclass byte. I've attached it as well.

Hope that helps!

Im glad i started this thread as it seems to be helping a few people with the underpowered 323i n52b25 which is great, and seems to be continuing to evolve to include the MSV80 with the help of rjahl and cheerio. Thanks fullas, this forum is f$%kn awesome. Can you post an update and tell us if it works David?
