A few Bay Area dealers have the Civic Type R in stock. They are all asking asking $25k over MSRP. Not sure if they’re getting that but I wouldn’t be surprised if people are paying $10-15k over right now.
$60k is just nutty, you got to be a real Honda fan I suppose. |

It is already over priced at MSRP, let alone 10k over $55k gets you a very nice M240i Or a Zupra Both far better than a FWD econo hatchback with red carpets ala fast and furious |

My 2000 EK Coupe with a high comp B18C1 GSR swap and 2340lbs is probably more fun than your modern Civic Si Also costs me about 7k to build it |

I don't agree with paying over MSRP for any vehicle but at MSRP it's a pretty safe purchase as they are going to make less this generation and it's going to hold its value like few vehicles out there. In three years most (maybe all) vehicles in the $50-60k MSRP range will be worth much less than a Type R used.

Any fair mileage stock Type R will always hold excellent resale value. We aren't talking about six digit collector cars here. It's still relatively affordable and will be fairly insulated from any economic downturns.

Things people don't need are the first to suffer in recessions. No one needs this thing to get to work. You ignore history
