I actually think TCU can lose their game and still be in top 4, as long as they don't get blown out. They already beat their championship game opponent earlier in the year. Committee has to put weight on them going undefeated in regular season. It would be hard to put a 1 loss Ohio St above 1 loss TCU, when Ohio St is just sitting idle because they got waxed. USC loses I see committee putting Ohio St back in, although I do think Alabama is a better football team and would produce a better game against Georgia.

While that would be the logical thing to do, I dont think the committee would.

Really makes no sense to penalize the teams that ran the table and made their conference championship games and reward the teams that didnt. After a full regular season, OSU had 1 loss and TCU had 0. that should be the final determination.

Unfortunately, i think TCU has the best chance to lose this week, which means we could probably end up with Georgia, Michigan, USC and OSU. and if USC loses, bama will probably get in over them

Alabama is out so hopefully TCU and USC win their games so we can have 4 conferences represented. I'm not sure a rematch of Mich-OSU would produce a different result.

TCU will have to lose big to get moved behind a 2 loss Bama.

Only thing about a 12 team playoff it makes all these games meaningless.

They were already done, would have been exposed bigly in playoff. Their D is just awful, barely got by through the season. Lincoln needs to get some portal transfers from SEC and strengthen the D in offseason. They have a championship caliber offense.

I'd prefer that too with no byes but I think they want to give the top 4 an edge. Anyway 12 team playoff is better than 4. Also at this time TCU is losing barring a turnaround there are some who would like to see Bama in at 4 but wow what a great end of season it has become.

I too was wondering the other day why have the championship games with the 12 team format. Teams may have the incentive to rest their top players for the more meaningful CFP.

TCU could still win this game but even if they don’t can’t see leaving them out to out in a 2-loss team over them.

Maybe but committee may try to avoid OSU - Michigan unless it is the final championship game. (But agree in TCU being in at either 3 or 4.)
