And that is the only CS that matters here, since they kept it as an option in that M2 model for a reason (like I said, knowing why some of their clientele are buying M2s over other cars) which is why I still hold some stitch of hope for the G87 CS model. They know it would be a HOME RUN in the market if they did... Now they just have to do it and not base it just on performance numbers on paper to make their decision. That has never been what the M2 is all about.

I am really excited to see what BMW does with the G87 CS. In my mind, the F87 CS is peak M2 for me. But hoping I will be wrong!

Seems to me announcement will be a year away, which is exciting and disappointing…

I was hoping for a wing on the new M2CS. think that would go well with the boxy look of the G87

If BMW did an M2 CSL that’s a car I’d be very interested in. This car obviously isn’t that but with the predicted long timeline of the G87 it still may be a possibility…hopefully…

Just needs a Manual trans and the popularity will be there, even more so now that the other option is a torque auto instead of a DCT..

The earliest date could be MY2025 models with a prod date of 08/2024. For now only speculations...

it makes more sense to just wait now and get on the list when BMW will officially be announcing/teasing its launch date. too many unknowns at this point.

My dealer in NY has 6 people already on a waitlist. When I put my deposit down for the Base M2 in April ‘22 there were already 3 people on it. These are all MSRP. I spoke to a smaller conglomerate Center in NY a few days ago and they said they didn’t have anyone on a list for a CS/CSL but they would start one with me as #1 but it would be for over MSRP, so YMMV. If a center wants to sell a rare car that will likely move for MSRP $80+ then they should happily take your deposit. Call around.

They will come out with a cs, and a csl. No comp. The cs will be an x drive/8spd, and the csl will be rwd/6mt or dct (from grmn Supra)

My dealer is first come first serve on special models. Whoever shows up first when it gets off the truck gets first dibs. Same as they did with the M4CSL.

I personally love the front lip on this one and I’ll probably end up getting it. I’m not feeling the wings on the MP front lip.

I’m curious about the rear diffuser, side skirts and spoiler but it’s hard to get a good read on them with these shots.

I really like the hood but I would never spend the money to swap it out on a standard m2.

I’m all in on the 6MT so I doubt I’ll ever be in the market for an actual CS

Have you seen the sales of the previous gen M2 CS ? 80% in Europe at least are DCT. 300 cars in USA isnt a reason for BMW to keep the manual in such a low production car. Id guess out of the 2200 cars , just the 600 were manuals.

I know I checked them at some point but don't remember the stats.

I realized a lot of ppl around me don't know how to drive manual, still wishing for a 6mt CSL tough.
