I spoke to my CA and he said my car has been released from the VPC and there is a 90% chance that the car will be ready to be picked up at the dealership tomorrow!!!

I also asked him why he never charged my deposit on my credit card and he said they never do. I was a little worried about that.

Seriously...my CA is awol now and both OC and 800 # are unchanged. Does everybody's info reflect being at the VPC?

JW28, I feel your pain...the idea of not knowing where you precious brand new beemer is, or just the though of it falling off the side of the ship during a typhoon-ish ocean storm somewhere in the atlantic kills me.

Good thing my car is also @ the VPC and should be released shortly:rocks:
hehe, I'm sure your car is fine...they prob shipped it in its own super special container...

I bought it from Rasmussen in Portland. And I would definately take rain over snow any day.

For me, only the OC reflects being at the VPC. 800# says I'm at port awaiting a shipping vessel.

I also checked my status this morning....OC says at VPC while the 800 # changed from at port awaiting a ship to in transit again.....hopefully that means its on its way to the dealer......is that wishful thinking.....

Well I just got some interesting e-mail from my SA. He claims that BMW has changed the inspection process at the VPC at Oxnard and that they (the dealership he works at) has had all of their Priority 1 cars sitting at the VPC for over 1 month now. He thinks that my car will come up AFTER all of those.

I really hope he doesn't know WTF he's talking aboot. I don't think I can wait another 1+ months to get my car. I'll go crazy!!

I hope that isn't true.....who else has heard from their SAs? I haven't heard anything from mine which is worrying me a little, but I know some people are scheduling pick up times for their delivery.

Yes, my car is really there, but I can't leave the office until a coworker shows up, so as to when I can go get it, I don't know.

That's great guys. My CA is still awol and there has been no update on my status. OC says in transit to VPC and 800# sitting at the port. I guess I will have to live vicariously through those of you who are getting their cars today/tomorrow. Congrats again.

Thanks man...hopefully they get this all worked out. Doesn't sound like anybody at bmw (or the dealers) really knows what is going on. You think they sit around and laugh after talking to buyers?
