Download speed is pretty good. I should be done in about 10 hours.
I will also be seeding for a couple days. 2MB upstream to you guys... EDIT.. I noticed the peers building waaaaay faster than the seeds. Maybe wee need to corporate a bit more and allow those who are almost complete to finish.. More seeds, faster speeds for everyone!!!1 revised ETA: 2days 10hours Last edited by brinx38; 04-07-2010 at 10:10 PM.. |

Torrents favour the efficiency of distribution over completeness.
The idea is to progress the swarm at the maximum rate possible, which may mean incomplete downloads for others. Peers are better, as I'm sure many will hit-and-run (turn off downloading) once complete. By keeping them as peers, they'll keep seeding and provide data to others. -M |

I was going to mention the same thing, torrents favor peers because those peers will share parts they've already downloaded from the seeds, taking the load off the seed to focus on uploading parts that aren't available to the swarm.

Thanks for the seed. I'm set up for seeding (I'm at 99.73.198.148) and once my download is complete and I'll leave it up indefinitely. I don't have a huge amount of bandwidth in the upstream direction (at&t lowest tier DSL) but I'll do my part.
To all: if you can, open your ports and keep the seeding going. |
