What a poor performance by the Hawks last night. I mean I'll give credit where credit is due, the Canucks showed up to play. For some reason the Hawks went away from the formula that worked so well the middle three games of the series...bigg Buff and traffic in front of the net. Oh well, it will be nice to advance to the next round on Vancouver ice

Yup got outplayed...well earned win for the Canucks. The Hawks are really frustrating sometimes, I don't want to start inferring their mental approach but they just play like they think they're "entitled" sometimes, just aloof and lethargic...it's playoff hockey every team fought and deserves to be there

Exactly, everyone was amazed that montreal beat washington and calling it an upset. But can it really be an upset in the playoffs, i mean yeah the caps were favored, but Montreal made it to the NHL PLAYOFFS...

I just think the hawks went away from the game plan that worked so well the previous games...traffic in front of the net. Luongo is one of the top goalies in the NHL, if he can see the puck, its not going into the net.

Yea I agree, they were playing too "cute" and trying to create the "perfect" opportunity. Just get Buff or Kopesczy to screen and pepper Luongo, he'll usually pick up on it but more than likely they'd get a rebound attempt

Hossa is also really pissing me off these playoffs...he hasn't done a single thing other than take stupid penalties. Sure, he scored the game winner in game 2 but that was right after he gave a 5min PP, they really won that game despite his penalty, not because he ended up being in the right place at the right time

Yeah, i agree. The stars players need to be star players. Hopefully they go back to the basics tomorrow and score first and put the pressure on the Canucks. The first goal is so important in a game, especially the playoffs. If the Hawks score first tomorrow, I think we are safe. Anything can happen, but that first goal is so important. But get traffic to the net! Piss off Luongo! BTW, did you hear about the injury to Salo? Yikes

It's nice to see Hossa being Hossa during the playoffs for someone besides us. I just always got the feeling he wasn't really into the games. It's weird. He'll have a flash of brilliance every once in a while, but he'll be mostly invisible, despite the loads of talent you know he possesses.
