Just heard that my E91 Touring is being built now and should be in UK in time for launch on 17th September. Not only will I be one of the first on the road in this model, but it is ahead of the 30th September delivery date I was given.

Just test drove the 330i at Vista BMW in Coral Springs FL like 30 min ago. Car was awesome, though it did not blow my 330Ci out of the water. Still I made up my mind I am getting one once the lease is up next year.
Problem is that the sales guy told me ED is not negotiable. I asked if he wanted to bet. He got pretty cocky so I walked out on him. Since me and my family can fly for free, I am willing to pay more than $1500 over ED invoice. Anyone knows of a FL BMW dealer (or at least E coast) who would do this? Apparently Vista BMW isn't willing, or may be I saw the wrong guy. Thanks!!! |

Central Florida BMW Dealerships
Try Matt Hoffmann at Daytona BMW. Just yesterday, I put down a deposit with him for a 330xi euro delivery. He is knowledgeable and willing to deal. I had similar experiences as you with dealerships in Melbourne, Orlando, and Tampa. Fields BMW in Lakeland is not bad, but Daytona BMW (Lynch Imports) is the best I've been able to find. Email me privately if you are interested in more info.

My Euro Delivery Deliver Price - Please suggest
After reading lot's of article online and on BMW forums and negotiating with dealers here are my number's please feel free to post your suggestions on my deal with dealer for thanksgiving delivery.
BMW 325i Sedan MSRP - $30,900 Metallic Paint - $475 Automatic - $1275 Xenon - $800 Navigation - $2000 Shipping - $695 Total MSRP - $36,145 ED MSRP - $33,980 I was talking to few dealer's around North East i got best offer from a dealer at $32,780 for ED. I am getting $1200 off ED price shown at www.bmwusa.com This is my first BMW should i go ahead with ED for thanksgiving delivery or there is still room for negotiation. Do you think i am getting enough discount on ED price i.e $2 1 6 5(from bmwusa.com) + $ 1 2 0 0(dealer) = $ 3 3 6 5 on BMW 325i What will be the number for having dealer making profit of $1200-$1500 I'm 27 year old and my above configuration reflects my need but please let me know what option i should add that help me to resell (incase) i have to do after few years. Thanks in advance ... |

ED - when does the transaction close
From bmwusa.com, I understand that for ED you will have to pay for the car 1 month before you pick it up. Is that the full transaction amount including Sales Taxes, registration etc? Or do you pay those when the car arrives?
If I go in for ED now, and pick up the car around Thanksgiving, the car will only arrive here next year. So will the transaction be complete this year or next? The reason I'm asking this is because this has tax implications. If the transaction is done this year you can deduct the sales tax (IRS Pub 600), but it is not certain they will continue this deduction next year. |

It's this year because you start making payments now and also take delivery in 2005.

I'm confused wth ED prices....so if I do ED, I'll get the 7% saving...and if the car is automatic, I'll save another $2500??? And what does it mean when you guys say "ED Invoice"?? Is that the same as the the "ED Price" on the BMW website?? or ED invoice is lower??? I'm planning to get a E90 325XI with some pkg&options and the US MSRP is $41065 (Invoice $37660)...how much $$$$ savings am I targeting if I do ED??? Please help!!! |

Try BMW of Columbus, in Columbus, GA. I got outstanding service from him. I called them up and asked what price they could give me on an ED 330i. I ended up getting the vehicle on my signature for 41,000 (Post-September production) without having to negotiate at all...that's just the price they gave me.

This is what is listed as "included" with ED on BMW web site: European Delivery price includes: * 14 days of free premium road insurance * Tourist registration * Factory preparation * Inland European transportation from the designated drop-off point * Marine insurance * Customs duty and clearance * U.S. port processing and accessory installation * Wharfage and handling fees perhaps the * Inland European transportation from the designated drop-off point ? if so is really badly written ...

2. No the ED Price on bmwusa.com is the ED MSRP. ED invoice is lower. 3. Give us the specs that you're considering. Can't determine the ED invoice unless we know the specs. But typically people aim for high $xxx to $1500 over ED invoice.

There used to be some savings from excise/import tax (?not sure if this is still the case?) -- they were importing a 'used car' that had a different tax base. In addition they (BMW AG) like to encourage travel to Munich, with the tourism benefits to the economy, and the likelihood of enhanced buyer loyalty. Few things in life are better than cruising the autobahn in your new bimmer. BMW AG has a different pricing schedule for ED cars that saves them some $ that normally goes to USA dealers. You also save on the 'training fee' and local advertising market fees. Any way you look at it, ED is a great deal, no strings attached, other than putting up the cash early, and the added waiting trauma between having sampled your new car and it arriving back in the USA. Otherwise it is exactly like ordering a car at the dealer. No hassles; everything is taken care of. All you have to do is show up in Munich, sign a few papers, drive your dream for as long as you can (only 2 weeks free insurance now), and then drop it off at one of their pick-up stations and sign some more papers, get to the airport and deal with the longest 6 weeks of your life. Same car, same shipping, same everything. Except lower price, and a killer vacation.

Wow, that is too bad -- ED is perfect for you. Check with your dealer and make sure you cannot still do it. If your car has not shipped yet you still might be able to arrange it. Even if it has, and you can stand a longer wait, your should be able to renegotiate your deal, giving up the car you ordered and replacing it with an ED.
