I just found out that I've surpassed my 60 day window to file a dispute since my ORIGINAL purchase took place in 12/06!!!

I sent back the OEM style spoiler because the paint on it was horrible, and have yet to receive my new one. I also have a set of the black out grills that are chipped which I was told would be replaced free of charge since it happened just a few days after I installed them...

This is getting to be a lot of drama from what was supposed to be a simply online transaction. I just hope all of us don't get screwed...that's a lot of "free" money to be had if he is attempting to jump ship. sigh...

Hmmm, so should I dispute through paypal? Ordered matte black grille on Jan 25th, received on Feb 1. Installed, but the grille immediately started flaking. Was not sanded prior to paint, the grille is now almost entirely chrome again. I was promised a replacement free of charge, since then nothing.

Thoughts? Wait or dispute?

Ya, I am going to go ahead and dispute. I felt bad for Carlos initially; he may very well have been in an accident as he indicated. That said, even if that is the case he should be more forthcoming.

My Trendix spoiler was utter crap, too--the mold was terrible (wavy edges, etc.) and the paint had some blemishes. I never sent it back b/c I waited so long to inspect it and wanted to be fair to the company. I kept quiet about it until this point b/c I figured it was a one-time mishap and Steve seemed to be responsive and genuine in his desire to please the customer, but now I feel free to share I bought the actual OEM spoiler and you wouldn't believe the difference in quality.

I've filed a dispute. As you can tell from my initial posts I was more than willing to be patient with Carlos/Trendix because I realize things can come up. At this point having received no replies in 2 weeks, and given the current state of this thread, I'm bailing.

Haha, one minute after disputing I received a reply letting me know that Paypal can not refund a dispute for a defective item, only an item not received. So anyone who disputes keep that in mind.

picus: dispute it with your credit card. CC will beat up paypal for you and you will get your money back, IF You funded it with a cc through paypal.

I did use a CC, the issue with that is when you dispute through a CC paypal gets hit with the bill, which means they will then (likely) put limits on your account. I use my account for my business, so that's not really an option. I have some other recourses though and will keep you guys up to date.

So word of warning for you guys disputing: Paypal WILL resolve an issue where the item is NOT received (ebay or not), so select that when disputing. If you select item not as described (as was mine and Happy's case) Paypal will tell you to go away.

I just filed one too. Makes me sick, as I really wanted this look. Anyone know of a similar rear deck spoiler for the E92?

don't they give you something back? might not be full refund for a "item not as described"?

No. They will only process refunds for items not as described bought through Ebay. If you want a refund for an item purchased on the internet (not ebay), it needs to be an item not received.

Just filed 2. I made 2 payments to Trendix for the same items, one being $215 for the splitters (in November/December 2006) and the other for the $25 clear bra service Carlos solicited in February.

Well, for the main one ($215), Paypal, of course, couldn't process it, its way past due (payment was on 12/01/06)

The most I can hope for is the $25 charge which is now an open case.

This really blows

Of course I left a negative itrader feedback for Trendix Others should, just for the record.

edit: forgot to mention...I didn't pay by CC

I paid $325.00 with my AMEX, and when I called, they said that they will make sure I am NOT responsible for this charge. I left one more phone message and one more PM for Carlos today, giving him one last chance, but I still haven't heard back, so I will let AMEX deal with him. It sounds like I was right, and he is a THIEF, but rest assured, the credit card companies WILL catch up with him, shut him down (if he's not already closed for business), and prosecute if they need to. These kinds of scams happen all the time; that's why I only use my credit card for online purchases...financial PROTECTION from this B.S.!!!!!

Call them and tell them about the group buy, they will give you a courtesy credit of the full amount, just tell them you wont take any less than that.

Tell them the name of the company, Im sure they will pull up their account since its probably already flagged from all these other complaints.

Enough is enough. Below is a PM that I just sent to the E90Post.com Admin, Jason...

Jason,

Apparently, your attempt to get things straight with Carlos and Trendix hasn't worked out. Everyone is absolutely furious with him and his 1-man show at Trendix. Although he posted up his excuse after several days of being M.I.A., it seems as if he's back to his old ways...telling ppl b.s., not returning phone messages and PM's, and not delivering product that people ordered and paid for. Most everybody, including myself, have disputed the charges from Trendix with our credit card companies and/or PayPal for products paid for but not delivered (in my case, it was the $325.00 E92 335i Coupe Painted Rear Lip Spoiler).

I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt after hearing his sob story about his car accident, etc., but even after that, he still doesn't respond and doesn't ship out products that he promised were ready for delivery. I sent him a couple more (professional, not rude) PMs and left him another phone message today; to which he has not responded. He's seems to be running a scam and it would appear as if he's stolen customers money and ran; now, it's up to the credit card companies to deal with him...and that they will! He may be in a lot bigger trouble than it appears.

I highly suggest you immediately remove Trendix as a Sponsor from E90Post.com! He will not get any more business from members of this site. Thank you.
