Hello Folks,
I have a dilemma. I put in the new battery in 2011 e92 and the car won't start at all. No lights nothing. It's like car doesn't even know if any battery is there. I need help to get the car started. The battery is good and I am quite positive I have plugged in everything correctly. Please advise what should I do? I'm very close to Howard County Maryland |

First thing is make make sure the connections are tight and there's no corrosion build up on the battery cables.

I'm running 55.4 daten and INPA 5.0.6 on Windows 10. NCSExpert has been running fine on it for quite some time, so wondering why this simple registration doesn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

![]() ![]() I used your PDF instruction and it worked! It looked different in NCS starting out on STEP 2 Load Profile FSW PSW MAN, but I used Expert Mode and followed the rest. Some others down the line were off too but main thing is to create the FSW_PSW.MAN file from the .TRC and worked out. Now my new Walmart H8 battery will be happy. I believe it's 80Ah. Confirmed in INPA. Thanks again everyone. ![]() |

Problem coding back to 90Ah...
Guys, so I mentioned couple a days ago that I successfully re-coded and registered my new Walmart H8 battery to 80Ah. I was following the
Aftermarket Battery Registration DIY.pdf instruction. I then found out that the Walmart H8(wet-cell type) can be left as 90Ah(still not 100% certain but anecdotal info seems that 90Ah is acceptable: choice is 80, 90, 95Ah). Fast forward, I tried to go back to 90Ah from 80Ah and now it won't do it ![]() I've tried what seems like 100 times NCS/Tool32. INPA still report it as 80Ah. I've tried differently to re-code it but nothing works. Idea is that you should be able to re-code as many times or different value codes with NCS/Tool32 once you done it. Oddly it won't. ![]() No errors just like the 1st time I re-coded it. FSW-PSW.TRC saved to FSW_PSW.MAN file. Then modified KLASSE_BATTERIE value to 90Ah from 80Ah. Then run the job once. Then registered with Tool32. INPA verification comes back 80Ah every single time. I'm lost at this point............................................. ............. Did need to disconnect the battery terminal as if changing the battery? ![]() |

Disconnected the negative battery terminal for 30 min and hooked it backup.
Ran the NCS/Tool32 and INPA still reads 80ah. ![]() The thing I saw was that the .TRC file Klasse_batterie value goes back to 80Ah every time I write to the DME. The .MAN file is a good boy and retains the 90 without an issue. At this point I'm just gonna leave it in 80Ah. It won't hurt at least for under-charging it. Pretty damn good battery though as I sat in the car with radio on for hours doing this $hit. Anyone out there??? Any NCS Experts out there??? |
