Can't wait to try this out. Updated the AP last night without any issues and downloaded the new maps manually.

He's not crazy, my car does it to.

Its the feeling of power bumping up in steps as RPM rises or possiblly the feeling of flat spots...however my logs are impeccable during at all RPM so I haven't a clue what its doing.

I just figure meh whatever its a little weird but since the logs show a happy motor I'm ok with it for now...when I hit the dyno soon we'll see if what we're feeling shows up as something measurable.

My torque overall however feels awesome

I have updated the initial post with a new graphic comparing the new throttle mapping as a sort of visual reference for what the latest throttle maps do. New map notes can be found Here. We hope to have those available soon.

Cobb got everything working. Tremendous job guys!!! AP is up to date, I loaded the maps manually from the site. Tried the Sport Linear map and transformed car into nice smooth ride also notice car doesnt run as hot as normal on this map. Im in AZ it was 94 degrees outside when I tested. Switched over to Sport non-linear, I can definately feel more boosting. So far, loving it.

Just loaded the v301 linear map for tonights commute home...
Fingers crossed that it'll go smoother then last time with v300 where I got the torque DTC limp.

Coming from a couple of subies and a gti, I'm used to the feeling of a large torque spike rather than the smoother progression. I'm going to give the other throttle maps a try.

Can someone chime in and tell me what the difference is between v1 and v2 throttle mapping?
+1

But I have an AT. If I had a manual transmission, I might feel differently.

Just loaded the linear throttle map and to Cobb. Anyone that lives in an area with snowfall and frequent rain this is the map for you as power is applied linearly with the throttle vs the stock maps on off switch! Eagerly awaiting stage 2 maps

I'm new to Cobb and tuning, so I'm still trying to figure this all out. I know this is an E90 forum, but my car is an E60 535xi, so I realize we're not comparing apples to apples. But I've always been frustrated with the throttle response in this car. The first inch or so of throw brings almost no discernible power, then it starts coming but slowly. To get power I've always had to really goose it. I'm guessing that's a considerably different throttle curve than you 335i/135i guys. And I'm assuming that's why, so far, I do not like the linear mapping at all. I'm dying for power to come sooner or without having to floor it. Can I assume that the Cobb throttle maps are not optimized for my car? I'm also wondering if my stock throttle mapping is different because I'm and AWD?

Any input?

Loaded up the linear map and damn, it's smooth as butter; feels like an NA car. Probably even smoother.

Great job guys

My torque is definitely reduced compared to earlier maps. No more whee spin at all. It almost feels like there is some transmission slippage now. Today I got limp mode and CEL under WOT in second gear. funny, car reset itself a minute later without me having to turn it off and on again.

Yikes!
What DTC code was logged?

Youre using v301?
What throttle map? Std, V1, V2, Linear?
Please elaborate...

Driving home in an hour with linear map just installed and i'm hoping that i dont run into limp-mode.

So far, the std throttle map seems the closest to what I want. But my perception is that v3.01 std map is not as aggressive v2.03. But I'll play with the different maps a bit this weekend and see if I arrive at a different conclusion.

Don't forget, there's Drive, Sport and Aggressive versions of those maps. So try Sport with stock throttle or Aggressive with either Linear or Stock throttle.
