Is the randomized license plate (Letter####Letter#)?

Is it possible to get the legacy license plate the same as what I currently have? It was randomized also but I just want to keep the same numbers/letters.

only if you forfeit your current plates first and wait for it to be updated in DMV and then order them. Otherwise No

Not possible at all.
Only possible for a re-issue of personalized plates.

Random means random.

Thanks. What happens if you aren't happy with the randomized number? Can you get another one? I'm guessing it will cost another $50?

So we order the plates from that link, Then what? Do we have to walk down to the dmv to register the plates to the vehicle? what happens to the old plate/number?

You can either order by mail using the dmv form, going into the dmv and ordering or ordering online. Once ordered 4 to 12 weeks later they send you a notice it is available for pick up. You go to the dmv you selected for pickup with your current plates and trade them. All in hand you surrender your old plates for the new.

All this info is on the dmv website please go there and read if you are still lost.

I ordered plates back in February and didn't get them until 2 weeks ago (about a 4 month wait). I called in a couple times to their hotline, the operators said they're very backed up right now and the process is probably going to take the full 12 weeks if not longer. I'm not sure what the hold up is but probably because a lot of people are ordering vanity plates.

What did you get that it keeps getting denied? I would've gave up after the second attempt and went with something different

I ordered a plate for my wife's car in March 3rd week and we got it last week. Prisoner's make these plates and apparently they are very busy and they are back logged by an additional month. Normal turn around time is 60 days but they said that definitely 90 days. We got ours in about 2.5 months.

Hey its better than last year...I ordered mine in January and got it in September

I have gotten two legacy plates one for me an one for the wife. If you got denied then the state tells you why? Either offensive, vulgar, trade mark, or religious...

What was your requested plates names?
