I just want to give the final push for anyone that's on the fence about this flash. Alex is a great guy and the TCU flash and coding is exactly as advertised. I've got numerous bolt ons and a tune but the missing piece was the transmission response to match the power. The flash really turns the car into another animal if you have an automatic. Shifting with the paddles is way more enjoyable now. It's almost like I have a DCT. Thanks again Alex!

Alex - Where in L.A. are you located? I'm in the SGV and thinking about bringing the car in for the Alpina flash.

Hey guys, got a question. I did the Alpina flash on my E92 '13 335i and i really enjoy the fast up shifts...however, I noticed when manually shifting in M mode, the rev match downshifts seem to be kind of weird. It sort of feels like the car disengages the clutch for a brief moment and then rev matches. It's a weird feeling, sort of like coasting for a brief moment and then it re engages the clutch. Is this normal, or do I have to re-flash?

Can anyone assist me in getting my hardware number switch around with my assembly identification number?
One is in place where the other should be, what can I do to get the numbers where they are supposed to be in order to finish this flash? Thanks

Quick question
Alex - I'm interested in getting the Alpina flash for my 135i but have a couple questions.
My car is a 2011 135i n55. Production date is fall of 2010. Last year I paid to have the coding done through topgearsolutions. I requested a flash of the ppk and alpina software. In the end they were only able to unlock the PPK. During the process the person performing the work stated that he was puzzled because it appeared that my car already had a flash of the 135is software. This didn't make sense because the car is a 2011 135i (M Sport), not the IS model. And it was stock when I bought it. Also what puzzled me was if it had the IS flash in place, wouldn't that have included the PPK tune from the beginning? Bottom line is they weren't able to flash the Alpina tune and gave me a partial refund. I'd still like the Alpina option if someone can figure it out. So my question is, have you ever heard of this and does it make sense? |

That's a big time amateur mistake. 2011 135i does not have a ZF transmission. The car has a DCT transmission, the B3 flash does not apply to you. The DCT is already faster then a ZF transmission car with b3 flash. |

Ahh. Got it. Makes sense. Yeah I am surprised he didn't mention this. And I was missing the point on it as well because everywhere I looked they mentioned it working for both the N54 & N55, and several people talking about how much of a difference they noticed with paddle shifters. So they must be referring to paddle shifters on the regular auto N54.

Duuuude. This sounds awesome. Alex, I've done zero mods to my automatic 2011 335i e93 N55. Just got it. Is this something I need to wait till I've done Tune on the engine?
And in your codes can you code my car to put the top down from the fob? I live in fresno and could come to LA if that's easier. Thanks! |

Not sure if you have a newer thread, Alex; however, wondering if you are still offering remote flashing/coding? I am from Michigan or I would drive to you Hahaa.
