I have logic 7 and was about to install another unit but stumbled upon this eonon
does this fix/integrate the SOS error that i see on other aftermarket unit installs from removing the factory head unit?
parking distance sensors/beeps still work?

How does the 2 subs under the seat get connected if you decide to not have an external amp? the "2 sub wires" coming out of the eonon don't have +/-....just curious how this is suppose to connect

I have separate heated seat controls which are located right underneath the heater /ac controls how does this get integrated, i dont see a connector for the heated seats harness on the rear of the eonon? can you get me detailed instructions of the install?

is there still a group buy on this?

@shaushshaush & douwe22 how did you actually attach the speaker wires into the factory amp harness? did u use a special harness or connector(bullet connectors maybe?)? or just stick them in there and tape to secure? did you wire the speakers in parallel or series ? subs? how did you connect all 7 speakers plus the 2 subs? does the parking sensors/beeps still work after leaving the amp harness disconnected? any errors? like sos?

thanks for the reply in advance

okay, I've received the unit.
and here comes a few problem after the "Plug and Play"

It won't store any system setting/radio setting. I'll try to wire up to +12V Constant Power see if it works.

PDC control: can I set the volume? I find that Beep Beep is just too loud. and I don't have the visual PDC sensor display on the unit.

Audio: Lost sub lows, now only Left and Right. what should I do? wire up the subs individually to the RCA adapter? and the RCA sub output is amp powered?

Car system monitor: the trip information works great, but how can I reset it? I would like to reset it every time after I refill fuel.

Reverse Camera, works originally with a separate 4 inch monitor before, but now I just have flicking image. But it works very well when I didn't turn on the engine. Once I fire up the engine, the image flickers.

Once I solved all these problems I'll go on with the fitting. my units is just sitting loosely now

I owned this head unit for a while and tested extensively for 5 weeks, until it died on me ( working with Eonon now for repairs) but I can answer your questions :

With this unit that storing radio/system settings is hit and miss per unit.
PDC, no volume control.
With the Audio, you are correct, the sub lows are gone, you would have to purchase an amp and use RCA's and tweak it that way. The RCA's are pretty decent and is powered.
Trip Monitor, unfortunately is a "view only", but like you, I wish there was a way you could have the option to reset the mileage.

I was also getting the flicking image in reverse. So what i discovered is the e90 doesnt put out enough power in the reverse light wire to get a steady image, so what i did was connect the power wire from my camera to the "remote wire" of the radio and the camera worked perfectly.

Hi,

Thanks for the information.

by wiring Pin 16 to a constant fuse will solve the storing system issue? the most annoying for me is the key tone, where i really don't like so much.

the sub low i mean is the underseat sub, because i wasn't any L7 or Hi-Fi. I don't have any BMW amp because i just own the Base Audio model of e90.

I was trying to find the wire to the underseat sub but I still can't remove the side panel now. or can u guide me a better method?
I actually try to boost up the Bass from the EQ just now, and I can feel there's signal to the underseat, but it's really low.

Remote wire for the radio means Pin 6 ACC of the unit?

The SOS error message remains and the only way to remove it is to have the car recoded.
The parking distance sensor beeps LOUDLY
the 2 subs under the seat can be connected to the head unit, and yes there are no +/- but instead it labled "sub 1/sub 2"
Your heated seat button are just like mine, so the wire that goes to that unit is no longer needed with this HU, its integrated in the canbus.
I attached the speaker wire using bullet connectors, that way you dont damage the existing wires comeing from the BWM amp harness.
Like more radios, there are generally 2 front and 2 back, facilitating for only 4 speakers, so of course i had to piggy back, example, rear left door with rear back deck, same with the right. the fronts are a little simple, but i have the center peaker sharing with the left front speaker. the subs under the seat, b/c ther is only one channel for that, I connected together and going thru my amp.

My biggest issues with HU is that there is no volume at setting "1". It goes from 0(silent) to 1(silent) to 2(loud) and up ! I presented this to Eonon, and the only solution was to not use the "loud" settings, which is not acceptable to me and hope that they come up with a better fix for that.

If you see my recent post, you can see that they sent me a 5150 upgrade to try and fix the volume and it only made my radio worse, then they later sent me the correct 5165 upgrade software, but radio was never right again, random resets and eventually not turning on again, and awaiting to hear from them this week to send back for repairs.

Hope this info helps

Here is the strangest thing. the only time i lose memory is is i pressed the "reset" button. I could unplug my radio from the car and plug it back a week later and all my settings would still be there, so its strange that you have those issues, but nonetheless, pin 16 should be the constant 12+.
The keytone is extremely annoying so in settings i turn that off.

When i say "remote" wire, I am referring to the "amp" wire, its the blue/white wire coming from your radio HU harness

As far as getting your sub to stand out, I would highly suggest getting an external amp so you get the proper lows.

As far as where your wiring is for a non Logic 7 vehicle, b/c I dont have non Logic 7, not sure where they may be.

Not compatible with stock TPMS, only wireless TPMS system. I tried using that feature and you get "NO Device Detected"

Thanks, i now revert back to the stock HU unit because I need more time to do the wiring and research to upgrade the entire system as well.

There is a few option, just wire up the sub lows with a 2ch amp.
Wire up all the speaker with a 6ch amp.
Add two tweeters at door panel, plus 6ch amp with crossover.

any suggestions?

Just keep in mind this HU only has 6 channels, 2 front, 2 rear and 2sub, Finding a 6 channel amp would be nice, I found no need to amp my front and center speakers, the HU was putting out powerfully without it, so I removed it and plugged directly into HU. a 4ch amp is what I am running currently ( well when it was working) and that was way more than enough with it sounding just as good if not better than the factory.

thanks for the reply....

do u know where the PDC beeps are coming from? does it come out of the headunit (built-in speaker?) or does it come out of the rear speakers (door and rear deck) like how it is stock? (assuming you connect the speakers direct to the headunit without going through an external amp.

so ur running a separate amp for your subs? or all the speakers? or half & half?

cool man, thanks for the information

I'm now actually planning to upgrade the speakers as well. as I Need to do the wiring to amps already.

while I found out that the base audio version didn't have any amps in the trunk, and this means there isn't any looms running into the trunk, I have to run all the cables again.
