Why doesn't the dyno account for the change in gear ratio? That would be silly not to. Obviously there will be higher torque in 3rd gear than in 4th.

OP: Those results are nuts! I'm curious to see the 60-130 time for your car, and same goes for a 335i with this tune.
the dyno doesn't know what gearing the car has. That factors in to the number.

Well, all around it was amateur night at the track: more blown motors and oil leaks than I've ever seen. I spent 5 hours there and I only got to run it twice. Both times I had issues launching it.

I'm trying to cut the light too quickly and need to just ignore the other driver and get a good run in. I'm holding off on posting numbers until I am able to get back to the track tomorrow night. Like I said, amateur hour all around, including my own performance. Will work on some launching this evening. I'm wondering if I'd be better launching it manually. Anyone with launch control feel similarly?

I think you should do what makes you the most comfortable driving your car. You don't use launch on the street, so unless you really have it dialed in and are comfortable, I think you should just launch it like you are at the stop light with a Lambo on your door looking to get spanked.

First solid run finally nailing launch control. Certainly room for improvement but feels good breaking 11's.

Very nice! Right on par with the kind of power you're putting down. What does that transfer case think of this? lol

That is true.

In that case, what RPM did you have your 2 step (i'm assuming you have one) set at? Also for the launch did you slip the clutch or just drop it?

Slipped the clutch at 3500 with the 2 step.

Also forgot to add that since it was 40 degrees out, the car wasn't handling full load. I think the air was just too dense. I ended up turning down the boost pressure % to 90%. Some light weight 17" tires, 100% target, and a small bump up to 3700 in the 2 step (maybe more?) and I think this car will do 11.5's.

Goodness. I bet traction was terrible. You need a 70F day with some good tires! 11.5 shouldn't been a problem then.
