I have no clue.....But If I was Voided I would sell the car within one week to a non-bmw dealer and take a small loss.OR I bet you could go to a BMW dealer and trade the voided car in and lease or buy a new one with out any issues.

I believe the only thing you have to sign is an ODO statement and that you did not mess with the emissions equip on trade-in's.

Lots of stock 335i's have had issues with fuel pumps...one of my friends just had an issue..and his car is TOTALLY STOCK.

wow this is funny i went and talked to my service manager...and asked him if he saw vacuum lines loose or off the clamps would he void the warranty...he just laughed and said "what".....he said no way why the heck would we do that...it doesn't prove he had anything done....even if it is part of a tuner install...it proves nothing as clamps can come loose or be pulled on accident during engine cleaning.....this dealer has nothing on you and is just trying to scare you...i would just call bmwna and explain what's going on!!! and how your being threatened by a dealer for having loose vacuum lines!!

but come on, have you pulled that thing off? it's on there with the will of god, and was a pain to come off. Second, it automatically looped itself and attached it'self back to the t?

Guys it is what it is, anytime you mess with the car you risk this. Just go buy a fuel pump and call it a day. You had enough money to buy the car, and then procede, i'm sure you can swng the fuel pump.

Did you miss the part that he left the procede wiring harness in the ECU compartment? They saw the vacuum hoses, then looked in the ECU box and found the wiring harness for the procede.

yeah funny....you know how hard it will be to sell the car without a power train warranty....this is a huge deal....and my service manager even said even if he had a tune there have been a lot of hpfps going out

around the world and is/was really the only issue of concern with the car and its major components... this is coming from a highly reputable service manager....and its really easy to say awe fuck it just go bye a

another hpfp when it's not your money....did you have to make nearly 100k to buy his car....no he did and you bought your own...just cause people like to buy nice cars doesn't mean they like throwing thousands of

dollars around and waisting money...people who end up retiring well off SAVE...all the millionaires that worked for there money not just got it handed down save!!! that it how you get places by making good financial

decisions so you don't have to worry about things later in life....every time he drives i am sure he is gonna be thinking about his warranty gone...and if he only went and disputed it maybe they would have realized

the dealer has had problems like this in the past and just reverse the situation...he has nothing to lose and A LOT to gain....what if down the road he throws a piston because of a defect and it rips threw the

engine...you just gonna say "hey you had enough to buy the car and a procede whats 10k or so for another engine".....do you hear how obnoxious that sounds?!?!?!?!

I'm not hating. It doesn't matter if it fails without the mod, because there is an argument there that you caused the failure with the mod. They're fragile enough operation with stock parameters, you exceeded those with your mod and very possibly caused the failure.

I have a HPFP with me. I was told its a good working one, not one of those bad ones. If you're interested, let me know, I'm willing to sell it cheap. I ordered it about two months ago for my car when my HPFP failed but it took too long to arrive and I was able to source the part from another dealer. The pump's never been used of course and its still in its box. PM me if you're interested and we can talk more. Thanks!

I find all the BSing about extra stress put on the HPFP by the PROcede annoying. We don't yet know what the precise problem is with the HPFPs that is causing them to fail, let alone whether a piggyback has any effect or not.

I am a bit surprised by what seems like a relatively high frequency of repeat [two-time] failures. It's like winning the lottery twice, very unlikely probability. If something like 2% of all pumps fail, then the odds of getting two failures is .02 x .02 = .0004. The high frequency of repeat failures suggests that there might be co-factors that increase risk for certain cars. Could be funny gas, could be driving style, could be other parts in car.

Bottom line for me is that I want engineers that understand failure analysis to make warranty coverage decisions, not an MBA or JD. Nor a SA with an attitude.

i love how people get on others for grammar on hear like they all are English professors ...i have 3 degrees...if i feel like a rant...i don't feel the need for grammar...neither do most writers out there...and like i said before i love Falkner he sure could give a rats ass about grammar...he goes pages sometimes without a period!!!! who cares as long as you get your point across...sometimes i am trading and can only write for a sec...if it's technical then ok but as a rant who the fuck cares...you gonna ask me out on a date or something? jeeze

he said he took the procede out and just didn't put back the vacuum lines correctly....i said this at first and was corrected

yea i took it to about 3 dealerships around my area, and none of them would take my car, i HAVE to go back to where they originally voided it...and its an hour drive for me...but im going today at 4 to drop off the car...i've already talked to the general manager of the service dept. there....
there is nothing that BMW can do.
my warranty was voided by the F.S.E. (Factory Service Engineer) which is straight from BMWNA...
so lets see what EXACTLY BMW says is wrong wid my car....
