No problem at all... thanks again for the great exhaust, I love driving the car now. I'll post up a full review and sound clips as soon as it stops raining over here and I can film some new ones.

I'm not sure why it says that you need a reciprocating saw, that is probably a typo since everything is bolt-on. From what I can remember though, I think that you can ditch the pliers and you will also need an 18mm open-end wrench, and a deep 12mm socket. Don't worry, you don't need any funky tools for the install.
Thanks, Boosted. I might make a DIY just for the heck of it, lol.

Will you post pics installed? I'd like to see how much different it looks than when they had it on my car to do the test fit before production. My lovely girlfriend just put a deposit down on the exhaust for me as part of my christmas present - what a sweetheart Anyways I might end up doing the painting as well since I know VA cops are a-holes about exhaust. Can't wait to see/hear some of the videos that everyone keeps talking about. The CP-E vids just don't satisfy my craving to hear what the exhaust truly sounds like.

cp-e exhaust ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, this exhaust sounds awesome! I would describe the sound as throaty, powerful and very European. Unfortunately the temp here is 22 degrees F with snow on the way so i didn't get a chance to drive much (summer car only). 65-80 mph is obviously louder than stock but sounds great and does not appear to drone. Unlike the stock exhaust, it's great to receive audible status when accelerating. Great job CP-E. As per BoostedBMW's recommendation, I too recommend painting the mufflers high temp flat black.

In response to the picture request here you go:

Yes, until their first batch is gone. Couple left I think. Give them a call tomorrow. It was pretty easy to order.

Hmmm, do they atleast come out further than phantomcoupe's photos suggest? I would not be satisfied with that appearance, it doesn't look quite right (no offense).

...I too was very surprised how recessed the tips were. I had the technician adjust them (twice) to the furthest "out" position the exhaust allow. The technician said he wasn't comfortable mounting any further out as there is only 1/2" overlapping as the clamp location. Perhaps the coupe grew an inch in 08 (joking). The pictures I posted are all in the furthest out and final position. I don't mind the recessed look I just hope the bumper doesn't get covered or damaged with emissions. Just to reiterate what is stated earlier...these sound awesome.

Is it illegal to have aftermarket exhaust in VA? Or is it b/c of noise pollution?

I am seriously thinking about jumping on these, but I don't want to have to worry about the po-po anymore than I have to (front plates not mounted).

Thanks for the information, I appreciate your honesty. The look great I just wish they stuck out further - sounds like you do as well!

Every state has the maximum dB level for noise pollution. I'm willing to bet your state is somewhere in the high 80s-low 90s.

This exhaust is legal because it's a catback system..meaning that the exhaust is after the catalytic converter. The catalytic converters contain precious metals that basically reduce the exhaust fume to not so pollute the environment.

I'm almost certain that you guys will be fine with this catback. I have no worries about it at all. According to FedEx delivery is on Monday!

Can someone from cp-e comment on the tip length issue on the E92 335s? This is holding me back and I'd like to see phantomcoupe's ride looking perfect
