Yes that's true end of the day that's what matters more

Fuji I can answer this for you on behalf of sock

If you talking about his window trims they were wrapped by CarX. About $150 or if you tell him to make it cheaper he will probably do it for $120 lol

Mod 55 - Motorsports Hardware Wheel Studs and Race Nuts V2

Another technically not a mod but Ill post it anyway post

2nd set of MSH studs and wheel nuts to be fitted to SPCGRY
This time 82 mm studs up from 75 mm studs, to cater for larger spacers

Replaced the old race nuts because they were a bit banged up and starting to rust, with a fresh new set of gunmetal nuts

Remove wheels, crack off the old studs, dab of locktite on the new studs and screw everything back together.... looking brand new

Pic 1 - Stud and nut kit ready for install
Pic 2 - Before
Pics 3 to 7 - Install process
Pic 8 - After (actually looks a lot like pic 2 lol)

Mod 56 - ER CF Engine Cover

CF engine cover with many thanks to Trent (335BMW) here on the forums
Was looking to add some colour under the hood, so was thinking about painting my stock engine cover until Trent came along with this

Not sure if I like the red stripes yet, but they are easily removed if they don't grow on me

Had to do a little trimming and sanding as the oil cap would not fit through the hole, otherwise fitment was spot on

One advantage, is you can hear the engine and BOV much more clearly in the cabin, as the CF cover doesn't have the foam sound dampener of the stock cover.

Who said posting a "what have you got?" thread in the classifieds was a bad idea??

Mod 57 - Cashy Diff Lock Down Kit

Lucky enuf to score this DLD kit from CashedUpBogun - aka Cashy (cheers mate)
Even luckier to have the boys at Active, install it for me while checking the new LSD

No doubt this is the best "bang for buck" mod you can do
Totally stabilisers the back end, especially when taking off in full throttle from a stand still

Looks amazing! CF cover looks great, you getting a lot of injector ticking now though? Might be worth sticking some insulation in there to get rid of the unpleasant noise. I think I'd prefer it without the red, nothing else in the engine bay it matches up with.

That brake booster pipe really needs to be fixed up with new 8AN braided line though:

Get 4x of this hose (total of 1.2 meters)
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/390677970...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I used a LHD spec vacuum pipe, this already has a 90 degree bend which makes fitment easier to route through the M3 cowl. Because yours is a RHD one, the join coming from the brake check valve is straight. To route it properly you need to either buy a LHD pipe or buy a 90 degree bend:

Buy this if you want to reuse your stock pipe and cut into it :
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Elbow-Fit...0AAOSwBLlVDHac

Or

Buy this to get the same setup as me (less joins, cleaner):
11667570497
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...pe-11667570497

4x of these (only need 2 if you buy the LHD pipe):

Cheers mate... I agree the only thing the red matches up with is the cap on the battery connector lol

Definitely will get the bits together to do the booster lines, thanks for the links brah... See you Sundie at the meet

Ah dang, I'mm guessing its probably the spacer the diff builder used for the crown wheel. Would need to get it balanced, probably by putting a counterweight washer on one of the crown wheel bolts would be the easiest way, its how BMW do it for balancing the diff flange on the M3. No idea who would be able to do this kind of work though.

Is this without the diff lockdown kit installed? Because even on a normal diff you'll probably get more noise after installing stiffer diff bushings or putting in a lockdown kit.

Might consider getting this finned diff cover. I think it'd be a good match with your clutch diff, helps cool the fluid (heats up from the clutch packs). Also it looks the business too!

Requires a longer diff mount bolt + spacer and a couple of the fins need to be trimmed off the heatsink to clear the exhaust. As you have a vanguard exhaust you might have more clearance and not need to trim though.

Pretty cheap too

Really? I would have thought any vibration would be worse with the LDK fitted?
