Good one. Which LEDs do you use for angel eyes? Mines are not that steady, my inner ring shines much better than outer one. Not so bad in person though, but I only managed to take a few good photos with DRLs on, camera doesn't see the outer ring well in most cases. I took the most expensive and powerful version available here, package said it had "80 Watts".

Wow, I didn't know this thread existed. Should have guessed though! 2007 328i with M Sport package and 6-speed manual. 80K-something miles but new to me. I had a hard time finding a manual with M Sport -- the manuals were all base models and the M Sports were all flappy paddles. I'm really enjoying the car, loving the top down option and using it every chance I get including wintertime; the seat heaters and warm air from the center vents keep me toasty. We've also done a road trip circumnavigating most of Florida. The car was perfect for that, particularly with an entire back seat for 'her' luggage. ;-)

I saw that Lux is pretty expensive, that's why I am asking, have been thinking of trying with their LEDs, but I doubt it would be any better, and I can't afford a "hit or miss" method for that price.
I have bought some "80 W" LEDs (I am still not sure if they are 2x80 or 2x40=80 though, but I think it is 2x80 W because that was the strongest option) for 80 euros here, on local ads. They shine bright white and color is good, inner ring is very good and visible on sunlight too, but outer ring is barely visible during the day. Depending on viewing angle and sunlight, outer ones can be visible OK, or even not at all. This seemed a bit disappointing to me, but I can't decide from the pictures is any other LED H8 barely better than mine, as mine shines perfectly when in the dark (garage, night, maybe even sunset). I also saw some newer "240 W, or 2x120 W" H8 LEDs on eBay and even Aliexpress, not sure should I try with them. Hope there isn't any worry to damage the instalations with stronger ones (as I suppose mine LEDs now came too from Aliexpress)? I found some pics with my LEDs on, first picture is perfect but it is far away from real situation, took a hell of effort to snap a picture like that. On other two pictures (LEDs also ON!), it is more realistic how they actually look on the sunlight. And they kinda piss me off sometimes, so if there is a suggestion for verified better ones, I could go for them. Last edited by stefank; 05-14-2019 at 08:58 AM.. |

I know about the rings' design problem, so I am not even trying to get the same brightness on all of them. I would just like to get the outer rings perfectly visible in all conditions, which is now not situation. They are visible even on sunlight but from some distance (and it looks like they're damaged), but if you stand just in front of car they are not visible almost at all. So, not problem for me to shine a bit less than inner ring, but it would be nice to have 4 visible rings, instead of 2. I have seen BMWs with all 4 rings visible (yes, outer ones not as shiny as inner ones too, but visible with no doubt), but I don't know which LEDs can handle that.
Thing I never understood is why halogen H8s make all rings visible, and most LEDs not? On halogen bulbs, outer rings are less shiny too, but still visible always. That's something I expect from good LEDs, not the same amount of light on all rings, just light on all of them. Second problem is that not all websites would send items to my country (Europe, but not EU). I'll try to check if those GFMC would. Last edited by stefank; 05-22-2019 at 08:38 PM.. |

Came out of Target the other day and this beauty parked right next to mine. Rare to see em side by side, wish I met the owner for a quick chat and more photos, lol.

By chance, I found this mint 14k mile 6mt and 1 owner e93 today at a local bmw dealer. Car was traded last night and I was lucky enough to snatch it up for $15k. For the condition, miles and features, I think it'll make an awesome daily and match my Z4M Coupe quite well.
Not crazy about the color and never had a vert, but gotta appreciate the engineering and quality of these cars! Kids also seem to be fans!

Damage is ok - the bumper cover is done and the light on the trunk lid is cracked. There are scuffs on the trunk lid on the plate surround which I hope came be resolved rather than a new trunk lid (due to the convertible mechanism). I expect the impact bar to be bent but hopefully did its job and underneath the car is ok! Low speed impact! Taking it tomorrow for estimate and drop off. Fingers crossed!
