My experience with Poquet was great! I know at least 4 other people who bought cars from them and have been very happy with their purchase.

I like the fact that they have a no-pressure sales staff and their cars are usually single owner/lease returned and in excellent condition. Not to mention that they have a fixed price so no haggling with prices, which is nice

Looking forward to seeing your pics!

We do need to start making plans for this meet, we'll be knee deep in snow before long. Any suggestions for activities this time?

Hi Guys, I'm looking for some advise on cosmetic mods on my E90.

I don't have a lot of $$ to spend this year but what are some of the "must have" upgrades I should consider? I'm looking at may be getting a black grill (Matte finish or glossy?, oem or non-oem?) the blackline taillights (again, not sure if I should get oem or non-oem?) and may be a projector headlight with Xenon and AE to replace the factory halogens (are Depo's any good?)

I know custom wheels are must haves but they'll likely have to wait until later next year

There are many choices out there for grilles, with big variations in price and quality. Given that you have a 2007, I would go matte black as it will flow better with the matte trim around the mirrors etc. I believe the OEM Performance grilles are gloss - I have these on my new car to match the gloss trim around my windows and mirrors. I did have matte grilles for my old 2008 though and got them from Imola in Golden Valley. They were very good quality with perfect fitment.

When it comes to lights, I personally would only put OEM units on my car. There are plenty of used OEM xenons and blacklines for sale on the forum here.

I'm pretty conservative when it comes to cosmetics, buts some other mods to consider would be the M Sport / M Tech bodykit, the M3 truck spoiler, an interior trim change, new pedals...

Yup, got back a couple days ago. How is your trip going? Have you finished the work part yet? Can't say I'm looking forward to putting my winters on

I still have the TPMS sensors for you - I haven't even touched my wheels yet. I better get my arse in gear and order the new ones - it could snow next week

Thanks for the advise. I'll definitely consider the matte grill. It would be nice to see them side by side on a jet black car to see which one looks better. I checked the forum if there were any blacklines on sale but I didn't find any that were still available. I did get a quote from bmw of bloomfield, NJ for the OEM BMW perf grills and blacklines for $360 shipped ..thought that was a decent deal considering what they typically sell for.

I'd recommend getbmwparts.com for all your OEM part needs. I've purchased tons of stuff from these guys and their prices can't be beat.

Martin might be able to share some pics of his black E90 with matte grilles to give you an idea of how they'd look. I think I'm the only one in the group with the gloss ones, but my car is blue, so that wouldn't much help.

Thanks! I did check on Tischer but it was coming out to be $430 shipped (grills+blacklines) compared to $360 shipped from bmw of bloomfield.

Nice Ride and welcome to the forums. If/when you decide to get wheels for your ride you are going to want to lower it. you should definitely go with coilovers. They get rid of the front end rake that all of us XI's have and they have a much nicer feel to them than lowering springs. I had my car lowered with h&r sport springs for a few months but was tired of bouncing around after every bump in the road and upgraded.

+1 on tischer as well. They USUALLY have the best prices for oem parts and their customer service is great.

Here is my 330XI with KW V1 coilovers:
(by the way these wheels might be for sale next spring or over the winter months. I am thinking about getting a Linea Corse setup) HAPPY MODDING!

^^Car looks great!!

Here's mine:
I also have KW Coilovers. Definitely better than lowering springs and best of all, you can adjust height to accommodate winter/summer conditions.

Must have mods:
1. New tail lights: I have LED Clear Top Tail lights.
2. Intake: Make your car breathe and sound better. (I have an Injen)
3. KW Coilovers
4. Tint
5. Wheels (I have VMR VB3)

Nice looking ride! love those wheels too. are those 19" VMR VB3's in Super Silver? I'll definitely consider lowering my car when I get new wheels/tires next year. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost you to for the KW V1 coilovers, installation, alignment etc... and how do you like the overall ride on KW coilovers? I definitely don't want something very stiff and bumpy. Also, did you get it done at Imola motorsports? I've heard great things about them..

Love the look of your all black car, Martin. I already got tints after i took that picture. but only 50% though since the cops here in Eden Prairie area are pretty strict, I've heard Black grills and blacklines are certainly on my list for this year. Where did you get your LED Clear Top Tail lights from? Also, can you share some more info on the Intakes?

BTW, are those wheels VMR VB3 in gunmetal? They look great! I think the gunmetal/jet black combo looks awesome. I was considering VMR 710 in gunmetal myself but not until spring next year.

Thanks! I bought my Clear Top LEDs from JleviSW. The Injen Tuned Air Intake, I bought it with a BMS Powerbox from BavarianX. I can take a picture of the intake tomorrow. Oh, that's another thing you need, BMS Powerbox. That changes and improves throttle response, basically gets rid of a dead pedal.

Yes, my wheels are powdercoating in gunmetal. I had them powdercoated in a place called MN Enameling located in Jordan, MN.
