my little brother's buddy owns a 2011 5.0 M6 with 3.73.

he came with my little brother from Dallas yesterday so we decided to run the cars.

335 = Cobb tune @ 15.5psi, ETS FMIC and BMS DCI

5.0 = Bama tune, Steeda CAI and 3" x-pipe with Kooks catback

i launched in 2nd gear on the runs from a dig - last video shows me giving him a whole car length at the light.

his car freight trains @ 80mph.

Stating the obvious here. These very enlightening vids illustrate that an automatic is clearly faster from a stand still. You're gonna get a perfect launch every time and you don't have to let up off the gas between shifts.

It's during the rolling starts when your friend is moving along at 3,000 rpm that all he had to do is stab the gas and he got you.

On these 30 mile per hour starts, did you have yours in sport-manual mode with it locked in to about 2 or 3rd gear?

we were going 40 and i was in sport mode in 2nd gear

yeah, i can't remember who said it, but they said something like "wow, two members with new V8 cars - someone got a C63 that would be a good run with the 392".

Have any of you guys had an intercooler or downpipes installed at a shop locally? If so, where and how much? I could probably do it myself but if it's not too bad I will just get it done.

I know I am a drag still because of all the questions about 335i...
ready to buy an 07 coupe for 20k with no warranty, etc...from a friend at work. She sells because she has a Range Rover, lol
but my other friends said I cant change brake, battery, oil, etc...
all the maintenance has to be done via dealership????????
