My Rides in India

Chaps,

Since I am at home now (India), I figured I would post some pictures and details on my rides here.

1) Blue Reva - This is a MIGHTY electric car that has a economy and a fast mode that you can switch between with a knob (very similar and as sophisticated as the M Drive system in my M3 ). The car will do about 50 kmph tops, but its turning radius and small size make it awesome for the city

2) Yellow Nano - Though this is not an actual picture of my car, my car is yellow as well. My grandad bought it before he passed away and it sadly arrived on that day that he passed away, so he couldn't get to enjoy it. This is an equally might 600cc behemoth, which will go 0 to 60 in 4 years and 1 month flat. Jokes aside, the space inside is amazing for a car of this size. It has a pretty cool 4 speed manual transmission.

3) Mercedes 240D - Ah my favourite. I also inherited this from my Grandad and it is such a comfortable car! Probably won't win any drag races, but it is cool trying to maneuver this thing in traffic here. Again, not a picture of my actual car, as I am pretty lazy to take pictures.

I did take some pics of some bimmers here that I will post soon....

That Reva is the G-Wiz that's sold in the UK right? Did you see the Top Gear episode where they filled it with batteries and converted it into a radio controlled racing car?

I definitely don't want something very stiff and bumpy. Also, did you get it done at Imola motorsports? I've heard great things about them..
Thanks. Wheels are the 19" VMR VB3's in Hyper Black. The coilovers were purchased for about $1300 and the install/alignment was $450. I live in Blaine and didn't want to go all the way to Imola for the install so I found a place called Elite Autosport which is right up the road from me. I've also heard great things about Imola but I have never been to their shop yet. I'll definitely have to check it out one of these days.

I was actually looking at the 19" Z2S in hyper silver. They look like CSL wheels but with a lip. The LM reps are nice though...

You definitely have a beautiful car Martin. How do you like your Injen intake? I have a K&N drop in filter with carbon filter delete mod. I hear/feel no difference. And YES, the BMS Powerbox is another thing to get. I've had mine for a while now and love it. My next mod will be to get rid of my chrome trim. I vinyl wrapped it over the summer but messed up on the upper trim pieces. Looked aweful so I took it off.

I believe so, but I also saw the one where they dragged it against some other car.

What do you guys use for washer fluid in the winter? I've not used my bimmer in the winter before, so this is a big decision I need to make I really do like the BMW fluid, but I was told by the dealer that they don't sell it. They would however top me off anytime I wanted. This would be too much hassle, I just want to have a few gallons in the garage. Does anyone know if you can buy the BMW stuff?

The Injen Intake sounds great. It really adds some sound to my muffler deletion.

Cheers.
Downtown Minneapolis is pretty much where it's at. Ichiban is one of my favorite restaurants there. Only things that I despise are the one-way streets and parking. Which is why I usually take the light-rail. Takes most of the hassle out.

Anvar, whenever you leave out of the country, just "park" your car at IMOLA.

Hahahah, I am having my GF drive it up and down the driveway to keep the battery in check. I am sure it will feel rather tame compared to those 750 HP porsches you roll around in!!!!

I use Splash washer fluid, I think it's good up to like -25 temps. I usually pick it up at the Kwik Trip near my place, but I think most places around here carry it.

If you have some extra cash you should also check out the carbon fiber BMW Performance intake. It's kinda expensive but probably the best intake for the N52 that I know of.

SKIP BARER RACING SCHOOLS - 20% off if you book through Halloween. I'm going again next spring, probably for 'advanced lapping' in the formula car @ Laguna Seca.

NOW IS THE TIME!

pic from me this past June, easily the most fun I've had in my life!

I have dumb question. How big of a risk is it to lose the warranty coverage by installing the BMS powerbox and/or Injen Intake? My factory warranty runs through the middle of next year but I bought the 5 year bumper-to-bumper extended coverage through AUL (via poquet).

That was a great episode. They blew it up with the minature remote controlled car.

Those are some hot rides you've got there Anvar. You should probably sell your M3 and keep the Indian version of G-Whiz... much more badass IMO

Anyone in here can recommend a place to buy winter floor mats for an E92? Should I buy it from Tisher or is there a good 3rd party option?

Also I'm looking for a place to detail my car for the winter. Any recommendations? Also, I'm looking to get my window trim vinyled matte black and my roof glossy black.

Sorry for all the questions! I'm not really too familiar with any of the shops around here.

I'm pretty new in the forum. Picked up my SG E92 335i in chicago 2 months ago.

Hey Gary,

Were you jumping on 394 from Park Place around 5:15 this evening being followed by a black Z4? It sure looked like your car!

Tischer is probably your best bet for OEM mats. Not sure if there are aftermarket fitted rubber mat options for the E92.

I've had my detailing done by Eurodetail. Top notch work - I'll be having my car prepared for winter soon too.

Car looks great by the way!

It wasn't me Brad! I saw a 2011 E93 M Sport the same color as mine today, and it even had an almost identical license plate... So there are a few of us out there!

You pick up an X3 yet??

Let's start planning out a get-together before the snow hits.

Let's aim for mid-November? Gives everyone a good amount of time to figure their schedules.
