care to break it down "sesame street style" for those who are not as advanced as others.
in short: 1) what is this going to do better? 2) how will it be safer? 3) and when will it be available? then, based on your answer, i will ask you if you feel it will be better than other tunes out there HAHA !!! |

Basically its not needed unless you're running more than 14 or so pounds of boost without meth or race gas on a hot humid day at an elevation of 6000+ feet lol

see, that's why i'm asking the questions.
just because he posted something doesn't necessarily mean it's worth a shit - especially for 85% of this section that needs guidance/understanding of how a feature works. this thread just got good again........ |

You've got to specify the conditions. You may be right in hot/humid weather, but cool dense air would be fine at the factory ignition tables...

people should read the basic tuning thread stickied in here. Terry simply does not understand how timing works and actually was looking at the wrong timing tables when he came to the conclusion that riding the knock sensor is "ok"

No, the stock timing curve is intended for a stock boost car, that timing curve begins to knock in bad conditions. What do you think happens when you raise boost? The condition get worse inside the engine as pressure and heat increase. Read the sticky thread in this section.
