I started a little bit with the VM on 7 ultimate, but ran into issues with not all of the commands getting through the VM to the real machine and subsequently could only play with things like the thermostat and heated seats, so I figured that I would get a dedicated system. I have a spare laptop with XP pro somewhere that will work if I can find it, or I will jump on the bandwagon and get a netbook too. I also need to find the space (no garage where I am at, moving sucks!) I will probably be able to dive into coding when I get my new place here in a few weeks. |

BMWTools 2.12 (read INPA, NCSExpert, WinKFP) run on 64-bit windows with no problems. How to set it up is written in Coding section of this forum.
But as it was mentioned before, there are always some unpredicted/unknown issues come out, which hopefully can be fixed later (after gaining some experience). |

I'm thinking to buy M3/MTech replica front bumper from JGMods. Can anyone recommend where I can paint and install it? How much should I expect for such a work?

You can get it painted and installed from my guy here for 1/2 price of most shops. I got mine painted and installed for about $200.

That sounds like a good price. I assume that it'll take more than one day because of painting. Will probably wait closer to March - when the snow completely comes off.

I have a painter that can probably do that for $200. And by march, I will have my shop up and rolling

Sounds good. EL is only a 45-1hr drive from where I live. Takes about 2-3 days depending on what you're wanting and the schedule.

speaking of which, if anyone knows anyone who needs either an mtech (unpainted) or stock (jet black) front/rear bumper for an e90, let me know. |

Am I the only one that wasn't WOWWED by the M3 and M4 like I was hoping? Don't get me wrong they are nothing short of amazing, but standing next to them I didn't get that "this is an M" feeling.

If you want to be wowed just walk on over to the Chevy exhibit.

Biggest wow factor for me was the candy red on the Infiniti Q50. I'm not really a fan of red, but I have never seen a paint look that deep in person before. And the pictures just do not do it justice.

Nismo GTR looked pretty good tucked in the back there
I liked the darker M4, still can't believe the blue/yellow chosen as standard colors. Sat in the M235i and it seemed "familiar" so that was good. First day of the show and the door jamp on the passenger side of the 228i broke off, I tried to help the guy slip it back into the place but the clips wouldn't line up... iDrive touch surface is noticeably large. |
