No, but those cups cant be driven on more than like 5-10 mph I believe, they are really for race crews/drifters and people who load and unload the cars from trailers and ramps/trucks, or speed bumps.. def not for driving on....

Very different then air ride that have hi med and low. settings and can be driven on.

Trust me, I think like you, Air= no bueno.

Yeah, cups are for people who basically drive low all the time but need a little clearance for driveways. It just mounts on top of the coilover so even if a cup failed, you're still at your driving height.

Even OEM air setups fail. Uncle had a big Jag and even though it was only a couple of years old, air suspension failed and he had to get it towed. Got so mad he sold the car a short time later. I can only imagine how many aftermarket air setups fail with people installing themselves and such. Every friend who had air has had a failure at some point. Mostly blown lines or fittings, but one had a compressor fail as well.

ahh got it guys...still a nice option to have. so being low you have the option of doing the ricer angle over while going 1mph or hear pssssssss and have ppl stare at you. i go over them straight on lol.

Jeez everyone here are such purists against air.

I never had any failures with my air ride.

Ricer angle is great, especially when there's a line of cars behind you. I've just started going on straight as well, mild scraping on the bottom, no one sees. I'm not even that low, I can't imagine how much you scrape.

I still remember back in the day helping push cars off of humps in hotel parking decks when they high centered before car shows. Always fun watching them do a burnout trying to get unstuck.

I don't care either way, both look great. It's not like one is more respectable than the other. I just wouldn't get air because of the reliability several of my friends have had with their air setups.

Probably 10k miles but then I sold the car. All of my friends down here who did their installs CORRECTLY put probably 40k+ miles without issues each. And then they sold their cars. lolol

The huge downside with the air cups (for E9x) is that they only make them for the front. So you will not get much of a lift over all.

More than stock? Megan camber arms, toe arms would be good too. I still need to get the caster arms.

Now they say it'll work, haha. I'm running a 275 so anything lower would likely cause problems.

Hey fellow stancers, I got 19x9.5 et22 wheels in the rear with a 275 tire. Im gonna be droping about 1.5" and was wondering if I'll have issues with the tires rubbing. I currently rub a little on bug bumps but will be rolling or shaving my fenders.
I've been in the stance game a few years but very new to bmw. Right now will be running springs just to stand out from the bunch but later on ill drop some $$$$ on bags.

Thanks

^ wow those are pretty wide tires for 9.5. i believe thats what tee is running on 12.5. im gonna assume that theres next to no stretch at all but they should not rub if you give it a good roll

old pic I just got around to playing with. new wheels in. fitment in the works
