First post was just organized, nothing really changed.

I think i said this before a few post back but i'll just throw it out there again.

If you screw up anything while coding, you can always open your .MAN file and erase everything out of it and save. use the process car / code car option.

Since there is nothing to code, all default options with be used.

Guys, still having major problems removing the Orange front LED's that are on with night driving with the headlights.

Maybe I am making a technical error? When you code the FRM, do you keep the light switch in automatic? Does it even matter?

Can't think of anything else that would prevent me from turning these off.

I am confused about the orange led. I have an E90 LCI, are you guys talking about the 3 little orange led lights from these values (posted by @Outie)

"WL_POL_3R" -> nicht_aktiv

For the amber LED w/ headlight (YES! I finally figured it out!)

"PWM_POL_BEI_AKTIVEN_AL" -> wert_04
"PWM_POL_BEI_AKTIVEN_FL" -> wert_04

To turn off the amber LED on parking light:

"SL_FKT_MIT_POL" -> nicht_aktiv

Can someone take a picture of which lights these refer to.
It's a single orange LED in the corner of a E92 headlight. It's not the signal light bulb. See attached image.

Do you have something like these in your FRM?
*AKTIVEN_AL
*AKTIVEN_FL

Can you post your FRM module?

While I am not 100% sure if the trc file is actually the car's file, I do have some reasons to believe it is. For example, my very first backed-up trc file has CIC_MDRIVE = aktiv. It should be obvious that the mdrive in CIC only exists in the M3, which I have. Another one I see is that ZYLINDER_ZAHL = 8_zylinder.

I haven't looked at my most recent 200kb trc file but if I do I am sure it has all my current settings.

I found this on my TRC file

DRIVE_WHEELS
4_wheel

Anyone have the guts to try 2_wheel on a xdrive car ?

I wonder if this could disable the front diff "temporary". Like in this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=444973

Another interesting:

REST_TASTE_VERBAUT
nicht_aktiv

This translates to "REST Button installed". I wonder if this could make the ALL button that 2011 (and some 2010) cars have instead of the original REST button...

No, it won't work. Even with iDrive and without combox it does not work. The hardware is simply not there.

Yes, but I have a sept 2011 build, with the combox hardware. So about combox without iDrive and these enabled ?

I have these by default:

DATACOM_INTERFACE
combox
PHONE_TYPE_C0B
combox
API_TYPE
combox
COMBOX
aktiv

this one's interesting, because my F10 has combox but those 2 features not enabled. Maybe I can turn em on once we can code F series vehicles.

I was coding and saved a copy of the 200kb trc file. It certainly does have my currently custom coded values, so the file is definitely from the car and not a default file generated by ncs.

I've included my FRM module TRC file in a .zip file. Wasn't sure how to do it any other way.

Thanks for the help!

I think it has been mentioned before about this function:
PWM_FL_ALS_CORNERLIGHT

It can either take "wert_01" or "wert_02" only. Have you tried them both? Did you notice any difference? I see you are currently using "wert_01".

BTW, when you turn on the parking light (1st position), do they come on?

Do you have Bluetooth/Assist?

You can try to change them and let us know if it works.

PWM_FL_ALS_CORNERLIGHT definitely was mentioned. Maybe I was a little vague in my message, but what I i should of mentioned was that with I changed this to wert_02, it did disable the Orange LED but only when the daytime running lights are on. Once the headlights pop on, so do the orange led's.

As for the parking lamps, yes the LED's are on with them as well.

Try changing "SL_V_PO_RL_FKT" to nicht_aktiv. This is supposed to make the LED off when parking light is on. If that works we'll proceed.
