Sorry to hear about the tix bro. In the old days they use to calculate the fine by had adding each mile($10) over the limit. So if you are 10 miles over the limit, then its like $100. They probably increased the an insane amount now.

I think you've just experience first hand my theory on female cops. Female cops to my limited exposure to, have always been more strict and almost like they're on a power trip. It's like they're just looking for an excuse to bully you and throw the book at you.

Last time a female cop pulled me over, I was threatened with being carted off to county. At that time I used every polite/professional bone in my body yet she still was very rude to me.



I was pulled over with a suspended license(didn't know it was suspended) and had my license physically taken away. I even asked if she could just cut it and give me back so I can have some form of ID, but that idea was vehemetly rejected. She pulled me over on the side of the road and I asked if I could drive my car about 40 yards up to a parking space, rejected also. Was told I had 5 mins to make arangements or she'd take me to jail. I somehow got hold of a friend who came to move my car. Thinking back, she may have even threatened to call towing for my car if I couldn't move it.

I understand I was in the wrong for having a suspended license, but was I treated fairly? This cop was at Cal Poly Pomona and she always wears these big cop aviator glasses and has her hair in a long pony tail. I think she had something on her uniform about former marines or something. By the way, I got my license reinstated within 48 hours of that incident but did not have a proper ID for probably 4+ months because of the superior service, effeciency and expediency of DMV.
