Coolant flange started to leak today and lost half my coolant on the floor in my garage. Good thing I have a spare aluminum one.

Ordering a belt kit too since I took the fan out trying to track the leak down.

I've pinched coolant o rings in the past though that was trying to reuse old ones, the new one slid on nicely I remember. Lubed up the o rings and everything. It's a fairly loose fit overall though thats what stumps me. Hard to explain without pictures on hand
Does the old hose fit snug on the reservoir?
It’s not a bad idea to replace the reservoir if it’s old. Just never seen a plastic fitting leak, always been the o rings.
Old hose is long gone unfortunately. It was a bit crusty when I removed it though. I'll make a vid tonight if I can remember

Ehh, I'm not really sure how it holds up in the long term. The non wear items don't care at all- these cars have extremely stout powertrains.

BTW, for your coding, are you using the INPA + the regular tools (like from Bimmergeeks) or are you using the new-age stuff from here: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1681573 ? I'd like to start coding again and I'm trying to see if it's worth trying the "new" software.

For actual coding I use NCS. For increasing the idle, it's much simpler- just a few keystrokes in INPA under functions. You must press store permanently so it does not reset upon the next engine start.

Anyone ever shut their music off so they can hear how smooth the incline 6 is?

Man, on my way back from work today I didn't feel like listening to music so I just listened to the N52 and that thing is damn near quiet.

Occasionally but with the airbox lid off I find it's often not necessary to turn it off

All the time, and I put the windows down and crank up the heat.

Both front control arm bushings were leaking fluid, had them replaced today as well as an alignment. Shop also found and fixed a boost leak for free. Running like a champ now.

sent my bushing sleeve clampy thing to an imaginary internet friend for him to use.
He made new adapters so now it works for all the bushings on the car and not just the fronts.

imaginary friends are cool.

2 years since a lady backed into my car with no insurance, valid rego, valid driver's license. Bumper got chipped, scuffed, and broken locking tabs. First year I was too busy to get it fixed. When COVID hit I had some time, but the supply lines were too screwed up to get parts and bumpers specifically so I had to wait longer. Thanks for not replacing with OEM, gecko man.

Eventually found the right M-Sport bumper I needed the other day, and as of today it is now at the shop getting prepped and painted. Soon I won't be embarrassed by my fok'd up front bumper, I'm so excited.

Just got everything up and running yesterday from Bimmergeeks and increased the idle by 100rpm in INPA. Love it haha. The car idles so much better when the engine is hot.

For those of you with roundel werk headers, do you remember how long it took to receive them after purchase? It's been 3 weeks and I have yet to see them. They make you use some app called Shop for tracking, but there's no actual tracking or number. It has just said "shipped" for like 2 weeks. I emailed them and they said they will send a tracking number...but they never did.

Friend gifted this to me and has been sitting for about 1 year. I was advised to read the instructions. I never do and I didn’t. Hopefully it works.

Done. Isn’t really much shinier but as long as is easier to wash it I will be satisfied.

Email them again.
I’ve used shop for tracking. Seems like it’s a third party tracking carrier.
Once tracking is updated to the original carrier, it takes a while for shop to get the info.

Blower motor was making noise so took it apart and lubricated it. Noise is now gone.

Mine sometimes does that when it's cold. Big job?
