My friend who is pretty well off and who I trust his food tastes prefers the food over here. He said LA Chinese > NYC Chinese. He thinks the Pizza/Thai food is better in NYC though. He has lived in NYC all his life.

yea nyc chinese does suck big time.. but when it comes to alot of other catorgories, i dont think you guys compare..imo

and i go out to ca for work a bit.. maybe its just bc i know nyc better..

Peter Luger's? The Steak House? My friend who travels quite a bit says the Nobu in NYC is far better. Mexican food here is better of course. We are mexico.

I've never found Arabic/Persian food I REALLY liked actually. I thought Darya (sp) was good the first time I had it (the one by SCP). The next time it was good but not as good. Kabobs were a little dry
