Leave the strip.
If you paint the whole thing it will look too plain and weird. Especially since your boot is the one that deletes the BMW badge.

You can pull it off with yours

The lines would need to be perfect. But I think it would look good with a strip

Car is in at Active for paintwork. Hood, front bumper, trunk and a few touch ups
Have asked for the lid and duck tail to remain exposed on the trunk. Will see how it comes out later this week

Yep I saw it looking pretty sad with no headlights and panels missing... Not sure what they are doing to it but it would want to be something special

They are putting a clear coat all round, lights, door handles, spoiler all had to come off to be wrapped. It's painful seeing it in bits but the paint will stay brand new for many years to come. I am planning on getting it done as well once my car is back on the road. Sigh

Start small, M3 side skirts are only $280

I'm fussy, so I want them painted all at the same time so the paint matches perfectly...

Ideally I would do M3 fenders bonnet and bar so all the front area matches up nicely, but all the pieces and a bmw bodyshop paintjob will be easily $5k?

Nar not 5k!

I had my car sprayed by a BMW authorised repairer here in Wollongong.

Bonnet
Boot
Front Bumper
Wheels
Calipers

It was 2K and they repaired scratches, and some dents in the front bumper.

It you prep the panels yourself and they just have to spray, and if you fit the panels as well, you could get the job done for a good price.

Also no blending was needed on mine, they matched the colour perfectly and my car is black.

Its worth getting a quote

Full kit (F&R bumpers skirts) fenders and bonnet would be $4k ish and yeah I guessed at least $1.5-2k for fitting and painting.

AFAIK black is one of the easier colors to match, white is quite difficult along with the silver metallics (from what I heard from a bloke who had his spray business for over 30 years)
