Sounds like a winner man
Glad it all worked out for you. I bet the suspension makes a HUGE difference too |

3/4 hydraulic hose slips over them perfectly. and it will last the life of the car and you can pull the intake off whenever you want without fear. I discovered this as an act of desperation, but now I like just having a rubber hose. |

At 186k I think it's probably better than the day it rolled off the line.

Getting the car ready for a mini road trip next week. Went on a short drive, some random in a Camry yelled "30FF" at me at a red light. Absolute legend

Amazon - $39.70. It was a birthday gift. An online search brings up this one and several others, but all more expensive. Would have to have them in hand to tell if there are any quality differences. But, for under $40, this one is pretty nice.

That hydraulic hose trick is very good, I try to stay with the oem hoses in my car if I can but if I had a car which had that hose that drains the oil back to the pan from the pcv system after hearing how big of a pain in the ass it is, I would do it too.
It also works if you have an originally dual port plastic valve cover car with the integrated pcv system and want to run a single port 3 stage manifold which was never a stock combination, can just run a hose from the pcv heater to the cover very easy.

Thats what I did. Cut the heated hose that goes to the oil pan to reuse the oem connection, and put a 3/4 hose from it to the pcv and havent had any issues with it so far. Still hate the pcv system though

Replaced my driver's door lock actuator, took about 3 hours.
As an aside, I'm moving into an apartment away from a house with a garage. I've done basically all maintenance, fluids and gaskets but haven't done the water pump/thermostat and I'm unsure if the PO (first owner, one owner car) ever did. When I flushed the coolant 2 years ago it was disgustingly brown and had lots of floaties in it. Should I change out the water pump/thermostat while I still have a garage or will it hold for the next two years that I plan on keeping the car? 84k miles on the clock

Wet sanded and cut the paint on the door handle, I just resprayed it, so the orange peel needed to go.

Installed rear subframe inserts but failed at changing my throttle body from N52 to N54 due to my silicone intake boot being too short.. maybe 6 ply is too rigid for the application

Completed the vcg job today. Yesterday I had frustration with that crankshaft ventilation hose. This morning I walk outside, 20 seconds it was off. Thanks everyone for their help on that.
I also replaced the eccentric shaft sensor due to both clips were broken on top and it looked like it needed replaced. It was still working correctly. God knows I don't want to do this job again for awhile so I replaced it just in case. It took me longer than I thought it would. It rained so I had to tarp the car and wait it out. And of course I dropped that e10 socket 3 times. I had to remove the front skid plate to get it but all in all I'm good to go. I cleaned it up a little more than in the picture |

$19 for the whole kit. I’m thinking about using Sonax leather foam. Heard good things about it |
