Well, before you land on one of those options, make sure that the CDs are commercially produced discs and not something that was burned at home. Oh, and that the discs say "CD" on them and not "DVD".

Home-burned CD media with MP3s should play...but ymmv.

Too funny. Today, for the first time in my ownership, I decided to put in a CD. Didn’t play, gave the error message, and refused to eject it. I also don’t have iDrive. Anyone experienced this before?

Finally did a non-idrive to cic retrofit. Always wanted to do this but didn't come across a good deal on parts until recently. Overall, it took about 6 hours and things went pretty smoothly except when I accidentally dropped a socket into the center dash vent...

Dude the color is spot on and everything so pristine, I'm vicariously excited too. My paint jobs are kinda hack but that is my color of choice. I can't wait to see that thing complete

Please tell me you changed your ac evaporator core or at least gave it a good cleaning while you had the dashboard out.

6 hours including coding and programming? I have done few of these and can’t do it that fast. Respect to you!

I finally made time to replace the Mickey Mouse flange today. Funny, I put the front on jack stands trying to minimize the coolant loss and still seemed to lose more than I anticipated. It had 130K miles on it and the underneath wasn't leaking just a little road grime. As you can see, the inside of the connector fell apart, the O Ring was still soft and the ring inside the OFH broke off in one piece. The aluminum flange went on easily and I can mark that off the list.

That bike looks nice, my brother in law had a sportster 1200 in the same color, used to ride it a lot when I visited him.

I think we chatted about this before, but is that the 7.3 IDI or the PowerSmoke in that truck?

Nice you got it beforehand! I've got 110k now and have the part in hand.
Waiting on some upgraded ECS coolant hoses, O2 sensors and maybe some inlets and new dp's while I'm there

...boy that escalated quickly

I've been keeping one in the back for like 50K miles at this point.

plastic micky mouse longevity is just a matter of curiosity at this point.
170K miles with no failure.

Well boys out of nowhere the exhaust valve shut. Thought that was interesting as for as long as I've owned my car its never done that. The previous owner did a muffler delete and didnt plug the vacuum line so one could only assume it had gotten clogged with other debris. It wasn't a big enough problem for me to worry about it. When installed my 135 muffler I hooked up the vacuum line to it but it always just stayed open. Tonight on my way home the car sounded quieter then I was used to. Thinking no way.. I went behind the car and sure enough its fully closed. Turned the car off and on again and it remained closed. I'll have to investigate further tomorrow to see if I can get it back open again. If I can, I might rig up a remote relay switch to open and close it on demand

Edit: Still can't verify if its working as it should, ProTools toggle isn't doing anything. I dislike my laptop enough to not bother with INPA. The flap is rattling now though so thats fun. If anyone has a fix other than wiring it open please let me know
