Went over to the website to look at the options for the e92 LCI.
What do we have to do to get the 10 et 25 wheel to fit in the back? Will 255 conti DWS be stretched too much?

We do have the wheel and tire sizes, but not the exact size of the tire. They're 18x9" ET31 and 18x10" ET25 with rolled rear fenders wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports. The tire sizes seem to be 255/35/18 and 265/35/18, but we did not have the chance to ask the owner of the car at the event.

We apologize for not catching this question earlier. A 255/35/18 Continental DWS will be pretty stretched on a 10" wide wheel. The same tire on a 9.5" wide wheel would be slightly less stretched and would be recommended instead.

Those wheel sizes are correct. The tires are 255/35/18 front and 275/35/18 rear Hankook V12's

255/35/18 tires generally require camber to be dialed in. Depending on the tire you are using we would recommend -1.5 to -2 degrees of camber to get 255/35/18s to fit in the front of the E92. Also, since the fenders cannot be rolled in the front, camber would be the only option to fit these sizes. A 245/35/18 tire would be a better fit for the front of your car if you're planning on keeping the suspension stock.

Correct, the 18x9" ET31 with a 245/35/18 street tire will be slightly stretched, but will work on the OEM suspension of an e90 LCI, as a much easier fit than the wider tire size. Some street tires in 255/35/18 will also work, but that will be dependent on the make and model of the tires, as well as your alignment specifications as those variables will change the fitment of the wheels and tires.

For the rears of an e90 LCI, you have two options, depending on the wheel width you'd like to go with. The first option is to go with the 18x9.5" ET43 with a 265/35/18 street tire, which is a Profile 2 wheel and also a direct fit for your car. If a wider wheel is wanted, there is the option of the 18x10" ET43 wheel, also a Profile 2 wheel, and is capable of taking a 275/35/18 street tire. Depending on the car's ride height, alignment specifications, and the choice of tire make and model, a fender roll may be required for a rub-free rear fitment.

David, been looking at a set of EC-7 wheels for about a week now, been tossing around some concepts since you have a wide selection of offsets.
1st --> 335is stock suspension (m-sport) Looking at 18"x9" ET31 front with a 18"x10"ET33 Rear wondering if this would work and what your recommended tire size is? Options that I believe I have: 1. 235/35F with 265/35R 2. 245/35F with 265/35R 3. 245/35F with 285/30R (Continental is the only that I believe carry's this) They all seem possible from height standpoint. Advice? |

Thinking about running 265/35/R18 AD08 square set-up on my pre-LCI e92 335 with sport suspension. Will this work?

We have not seen or heard of anyone using anything wider than a 255/35/18 tire on the front of an e92 335i pre-LCI, with about -2.8 degrees of camber. With the 265/35/18, the tire may be too wide to clear the struts with a 9" wide wheel, though the ideal wheel size for this to fit would be the 18x9" ET31 squared. We'd recommend the 255/35/18 squared setup instead, and those would still require camber plates so that you can dial in the -2.8 degrees of camber for the wheels and tires to clear your front fenders.

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...hp?t=171666#14 posts 14 & 16. I also put the car up a ramp (I.e. loaded suspension) and estimate 1 cm or so clearance between tire and strut.
