Ok, guys. It's about 6pm central and the ECU is still somewhere on the way here... the wait continues, at least for one more day...

This will be by far one of the most interesting mods ever done on a normally aspirated E90. Good luck FinnVette.

Guys & Galls,
The ECU is here, I installed it and drove the car 'around the block'. Initial feeling is... yes it has more power... |

I can't wait to see the final outcome (actual dyno) and the total cost of the conversion!

if it works properly (i wouldnt consider anything short of 40hp proper) it will be amazing and as far as cost goes it should be around 1600 but i think it will become cheaper as time goes by because the 3 stage intakes will become less once we find a good source to get them from. also how much it costs got me curious and i think this may be one of the best hp/dollar mods ever. for instance intakes might add about 7 hp and cost anywhere from 400-1000, so depending thats about 1 hp for every $100 dollars spent. then i wondered about supercharging which at best would be 6000 for a possible 125hp which comes to about $50 per hp. then comes this mod which i think has the best ratio for a naturally aspirated motor at about $40 per hp (and thats being very conservative as far as cost and gains go, it could potentially be about $25 per hp)
so sorry for ranting in a positive manner but this mod has me really excited |

interesting! Let us know how much your fuel mileage changes and in which direction... if it is really software that is close to OEM 330i software, you're mileage shouldn't change much at all... does it sound any different?
