I'd love to include Alpine in my original post, but unfortunately, there aren't sufficient shots for day/night to put up with the rest. Nobody has head on shots in full daytime light to give the best indicator of how they look. If someone can provide me appropriate daytime shots, I'll be happy to include them.

So from what I've read right now, OSS is not for pre-LCI E90? I was only able to find e92/e93 fitment.
I've been looking at Lux for a long time now (Marc knows ) ... anything that will be a good color match to OEM Xenons... if I could drop the cash on OSS I probably would, but it looks like I'm going to keep trying for a used set of Lux 5.0s or maybe MTec v2s...

Please correct me if I’m wrong that for E90 LCI halogen only models, it seems like outside of OSS, all other manufactures/options including OEM are very similar and mostly a matter of personal taste: color hues (temperature in K) and how they look from a very close range. The pictures, unfortunately, don’t really show the performance.
What I’d like to know if there are any significant difference in performance and reliability. For instance, power (W), Light Power (lm), light intensity (W/m2), or coverage area, i.e. specs that can be used to compare the products. As well as any common problems that should be reflected on reliability. I know I’m asking for a lot of info, but specs are very important for me. Do I get a much better light output if I spend $150-$300 to replace the OEM, or it could be even less light just whiter colors? Again, I’m only asking about E90 LCI halogen only models; sorry, I just get confused when all E9x models and light options (Halogen, LEDs and Xeons get mixed together). If it was done before, please post a link. Thank you! Last edited by 328AL; 06-14-2010 at 12:32 AM.. |

I think I understand about the daylight visibility now, but what about night performance, i.e light power/intensity, coverage, etc? I care about night performance more to be honest. I certainly appreciate the looks, but I'm not happy with the performance of my lights more than anything else. How would you compare OEM Halogen with other available options including OSS, Xeons, etc that are available for E90 LCI halogen only models? Thanks. |

Im looking Angel eyes for my E92. I want white LED, which will look similar to those on new 5 series (F10). Which would be the best choice, LUX or something else ? Thanx

Thanx for fast replay. Since in my country is required to drive always with lights turned on and at day time angel eyes are enough. So its important to me that new Angel eyes are visible enough so I can replace original yellow angel eyes. Looks like LUX H8 and Alpine does job very well and they looks like original Angel eyes on new BMW 5 (F10), so I have to take decision between those two...

AiB will be the purest white, like the F10 models.
