my wife was REAL bad about that when she'd make the Zatarain's Gumbo - i'd be joyfully eating my Gumbo when all of a sudden i'd bite down on what appeared to be a full bullion cube and i would immediately lose vision in my right eye HAHAHA !!!! she learned that she had to make sure the spices were not clumped in there..... i purchase and expedite material to our job site per a tight construction schedule. my vendors that i purchase valves, transmitters and control panels from LOVE to show their appreciation by taking me out to high end steak houses and seafood joints...it's their way of saying "thanks for giving us a $300K purchase order " i get taken out by multiple vendors about 15-20 times a year - doesn't happen weekly or even bi-weekly, but it happens at least once a month. sometimes they drop off those "chicky-biscuits" from Chik-Fil-A for breakfast |

Litos planted the seed with the first post in this topic. Went to Trulucks again because I can't get enough of that filet bernaise royale
Trulucks should probably give him a finder's fee for advertising (and subsequently hooking me on) their product |

Went to Jasper's again today. They were out of my favorite (prime rib) so I had to "settle" for the delmonico Ribeye (and mac and cheese!). But, they were really gracious and gave the the last little bit of prime rib (2 or 3 oz) on the house! Oh lawd my picture taking skills are steadily getting worse This one is blur city. My bad. |

Dinner at Siena today (http://sienaaustin.com/). I didn't take a picture of the food (it was good as usual!) but I took a snapshot of this because I was touched by Siena's generosity to patrons
Note to anyone in the restaurant business: do something like this once in a while for your patrons! I had a 3 course prix fixe and a dessert that totaled to around $50, so I basically tipped him the cost of the meal plus an additional 100% beyond that. |

I just noticed that they have a location in san antonio (about 40 minutes or an hour away from Austin?) Actually just checked google maps and the restaurant is an hour and 20 minutes away exactly. Damn I need an excuse to drive down to San Antonio now |

Dunno if it would be considered "foodie" but it's food and I ate it so close enough.
Linguini with clam sauce from my go to Italian place down the street from my house: Their tiramisu which IMO is the best around here: |

The tiramisu looks great Linguini looks like it's accompanied with a simple butter sauce which I'm not usually a fan of. They tend to be too bland IMO, but the pasta itself looks good (as long as it's cooked to a proper al dente!). |

I'll see if I take a pic next time I go to my favorite pasta place, unfortunately it's like an hour away and everything else on their menu is ok but the pasta is really good. Freshly made there daily and cooked perfectly al dente. |
