So I have so of the same problems you had, which is I bought the wrong car (328xi) and did a rwd manual swap.

I came to the same idea of swaping the RWD dsc module and I discovered you need to swap the RWD dsc acceleration sensor as well. (I have a full donor car as well)

Form my reading of the wiring diagrams RWD cars have 3 additional wires in the dsc that are not present in the Awd cars

These wires are as follow:
Parking brake warning switch: pin 38 BL/BR/GE
DSC sensor: pin 39. SW/RT/WS; pin 27 BL/WS/GE

I was wondering if you could shed some light on the Dsc module and how you guys rewired the pins, as well as did you guys end up moving the RWD dsc acceleration sensor as well?
I don’t think we added the module at all, and as far as the DSC module goes, we only had to re-pin the connector to make it talk.

Hello

https://www.bmw-serie3.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?t=32634
Pour ceux que ça intéresse j'ai quelques photo sur le brochage du DSC page 20 et 28
Beaucoup de pièces achetées aux USA qui est ma source inépuisable de pièces détachées n54 oumon:
Encore bravo

Just wanted to stop in and say awesome build, and that your car inspired me to get the TA5R wheels for my car. I didn't even know they existed before I randomly saw your car on IG.

So glad you like them.

I plan to have mine custom powdercoated soon.

Just wanted to post some updates...

1) Car is back from Matt Santjer and Santjer Performance in eastern NC after having new valve springs, 100% over injectors, and a third turbo installed. He also found and solved a bunch of small boost leaks and we upgraded to a Wagner intercooler because the old IC wouldn't hold more than 45psi. Car now makes nearly 750 hp and 1000 lb-ft of torque (at the engine, the wheel results are shown in the dyno below)

2) With the help of Bimmerworld, I test fit an 18x11" rear wheel (ET44) with no spacer and it fits with room to spare but also very flush with the fender, so I've ordered another and will send 4 wheels to Prince Wheel in Charlotte NC for them to be redone in E39 M5 shadowchrome from the style 67 wheels. I think the black is too dark and the silver is too bright so this is a fantastic in-between. Pics when they are done and installed. The best part about this is that I'll be able to run a 295/30/18 rear tire for more grip and traction.

Some more updates...got the new clutch installed. It's MASSIVE and twin-disk, see photos below. The pedal is way too heavy now, so someone on the FB group suggested an E31 850i clutch slave cylinder which I just got in from FCP and will install this week.

Also got the newly-powdercoated Bimmerworld TA5R wheels done in E39 M5 shadowchrome finish and upgraded rears to 18x11 with a 295/30/18 rear tire so she's got more grip now. And she looks amazing.

Much respect Redshift from a fellow Raleigh NC 335D (same colour but sedan) driver!

Small update, new wheel color (same wheels) with a slightly wider (18x11 vs 18x10.5) rear wheel and a wider (295/30/18 vs 275/35/18) rear tire.

I think the color is more classy than the anthracite given my advanced age. LOL

Curious about your new wheel setup. I get occasional rubbing with my right rear wheel, and I'm only on a 255/35-18. Can you share specs? Width, offset, and spacers?? Also if you did any wheel liner or fender mods?

I'm trying to go to a 265/35 and a 245/30 up front if I can. Currently lowered on Bilstein B12 kit. I recall you're on some coilovers, but you look definitely as low if not lower than me.

I'm on MCS 2-way remote reservoir suspension. I had the fenders aggressively rolled.

Rear wheel is 18x11 ET44, no spacer, with the 295/30/18 tire. No liner mods. Fairly certain I could stuff a 305/30/18 on there if I wanted to.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I think my offset (18x9 ET29) combined with a 10mm rear spacer is what is killing me. I'll try rolling my fenders and then add the 265 rear tire, see how that helps.

As always, car looks awesome. One of these days, we need to get all of these alter ego wagon builds together!

Sounds good. I just need to finish reassembling the other wagon first!

Just came across this build and holy cow, what a machine. Definitely fueling my dream for a 335d M57/6MT swap for my E91 haha. Looks relatively attainable with a proper donor car as I thought, and I appreciate being able to see all the intricacies of the swap courtesy of your thread.

Maybe some day, when I have the space at home to do this! For now, I live an apartment so that is impossible 😂 Lovely, thanks for sharing all of this. Would love to know the current state of it in 2024!

Well I know for a fact he ditched the S6-53DZ manual for a 8hp. Which is completely understandable given the power he's putting out now.
