Thank You Levanime

My car is 99% back to normal Turn signals do not flicker anymore. I have one error code only:
0E596: No message, receiver footwell module, transmitter high beam assistance.
I actually don't recall if my car even has that feature.

My new ZUSB #: 9340337.

Programming:

NCSExpert
I programmed the VO thru NCSExpert from the CAS as I did before. Just the VIN needs to be updated for which I need to find instructions.

When I look at WinKFP and select ECU Family "FRMR3", it doesn't have the ZUSB (9340337). it has 9383038 through to 9383050 as options. If this is just an upgrade, is it ok for me to select the newest 9383050 ZUSB and have winKFP flash it?

After that, what would be my next step? Do I code out the high beem assistance? I know I want to program back in a few things like the Alarm system chirp when doors unlock or lock. I want my puddle lights to stay on longer etc...

Thanks Again! Seriously, Sensible_ and Levanime. You saved me $850 for this part with your awesome instructions and help! Just a little more work on my part and I think it will be back to just the way I want it.

after doing FA_WRITE on NFRM
for sure you did SG_CODIEREN on NFRM, is that correct?

if your car has not some option, nfrm should not be having that kind of error, if correctly coded.

anyways, you can use just update of FRMR3 in winkfp to update whatever it thinks is latest (depending your spdaten version) dont forget to enter your VIN number, its F4 as i remember

that will update your nfrm to latest ZB (according to your spdaten) and change vin number and add record to AIF records as well.

double check if you default coded NFRM (SG_CODIEREN) with expert profile or empty .MAN file, its important

then you can start custom coding, whatever you need

You can flash ZB number 9383048. If you use Update ZUSB in comfort mode, WinKFP should automatically suggest it.

ZB number 9390489 is the latest, but your SP daten doesn't contain it.

Hey Levanime,

So you were right, I missed the SG_CODIEREN. So I went back and did it again. Everything reset. Then I went to WinKFP and updated to ZUSB 9383048 and coded my VIN. Popup said I have 1 more programming left.

Once everything updated. An exclamation popped up on the dash. So I first reset my errors because there were a lot. Then only 1 showed up:
9CD3: FRM: Software Version and coding index do not match

Do you know what this means? Do I need to repeat a step somewhere? or perform another NCSExpert SG_CODIEREN?

Thanks

Question of EE dump

First post so be gentle. I have read many threads about this. I have a x5 E70 2010 diesel but this site has the best info on the FRM3 issues so I am here for help. I googled other areas and got a dump that was 'for' the E70 and I programmed the FRM EE only and did nothing with the P file with xprog 5.60 and had no issues. Installed and then reset vo from cas and most things work but get can bus errors now. The FRM3 module from the list of modules does not have the correct VIN and the one that is listed is for an E60.

??? Is this an issue and should I reprogram with a known E70 dump

??? If yes to above does anyone know what dump to use

??? Should I have also program the p file also

My module pic attached

Thanks for any suggestions/advice

Program/Flash the new module with a suitable zusb number with winkfp. This will also write your VIN if you input it correctly. Then code to default with winkfp...

I quess that is my problem not sure how to find a suitable zusb number. I have the recent datem. I have tried it in comfort mode but get errors when trying to program.

I have read about the zusb numbers to try to figure this out.

So do I pick any number that shows up and try it or is there a way to decide which is the proper zusb number to use.

Thanks so much.

What zusb number does winkfp suggest in comfort mode? And what faults do you get?

I guess my big question is should I find a E70 dump and recode the FRM?

and would that clear some of the can bus errors?

If I should recode does anyone have a E70 dump and should I code the p-file as well since I did not do it on the first programming with the E60 dump.

Thanks

Hi, sorry I only just saw your reply.

Try this file:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0...EQ0TnpmdEp5Zjg

You shouldn't need P-FLASH.

Hi guys, my name is Virgil pleasure and owner of a mini r56 d. I have a problem with the FRM module, the windows do not work and even the headlights.
I read your problems and are similar if not identical to mine.
Being that I am a fan of electronics and for the replacement of this module the BMW dealership has Chesto me quite a while, I wanted to buy the equipment and settle the form to me.
If it was possible some information on what to buy, and the various steps needed to make operational the mine MINI.
I thank you in advance for answers. greetings Virgilio.
