^Damn. . . Sorry to hear no one was of any help at all.
I completely agree with you though.
I would feel BMW assist along with CHP and SFPD are all useless

^^ Truth is, the system is set up against us. If you were lucky enough to catch the bastard what could you do? Can't shot em, that's a crime. Can't beat the piss out of them, get sued in civil court. Can't call the cops, they have more important things to do. So what's left?

What really gets under my skin as that NONE of the investigating parties (SFPD, CHP, BMW) did ANYTHING to find the car! NOTHING! The car basically fell into their laps when the tow company happened to pull it from the apt lot.
If u have any relatives are like mayor or senator, then it will be another story!

I took the time to explain the story in detail so I wouldn't have to type it all again. Just search for my posts in this thread.

Damn it man. Sorry about that! And here I was getting mad with myself for LoJack.

My car has the $1K LoJack that calls if its even moved. I was feeling stupid for having it installed, but no more after this story. What got me to impulsively install it was my E46 was vandalized to the tune of $6K. F&*king unbelievable especially it was in an area I was a stranger and didn't know a soul. Aaargh, anyway the cops did nothing. I also naively asked them to take figure prints (They were all over the damn side glass and very visible from greasy figures.) popo just smiled and said, "Kid you are better off moving to a different area. The guys who did this had plenty of time. I can guarantee you they will do it again now that they know wher5e you park. Also, the car is still here, and honestly just call the Insurance, no cop gotta waste time collecting and running prints on this. Its not like its a homicide or major burglary, its a just a car that got broken into and vandalized happens all day long around here.)

Must be lucrative doing this crap. Cops not really interested in finding the culprits.

Still curious what happened to the chick's Jetta and if there's more to the story. This seems so weird, two cars stolen at once.

This is only my opinion but before anyone feels scared about bmw recovery assist not helping and going to spend a thousand or whatever it costs to get lojack, I am thinking that it is not common for people to steal bmw's because of the way the car is setup as far as the key fob, etc.. Of course I'm sure it's possible for someone to steal our cars if they really want, but I'm thinking that the thieves will aim for hondas or toyotas with traditional ignition start up and door locks. In this case he had left the keyfob in his car, which is why they stole the vehicle, so moral of the story is don't leave your keyfob in your car period.
