A lot more complicated? Depends on who you ask. A 2 resistor voltage divider with a transistor that grounds the wideband heater under boost isn't complicated. Want me to show you how to do it? Should take you maybe 10 minutes to make one. A lot quicker than fabbing an intake set-up from scratch. In fact, we can replace one of those resistors for a 1k ohm potentiometer and you can even adjust boost with that screwdriver you mentioned.

Yeah i guess it is kind of hard to search for a 3" conical air filter, and a 3" to 2.5" coupler. I mean hell, 2 search queries, thats $145 worth right?
You know what's so funny about this is that both shiv and dustin have been saying for months that it is extremely easy to make this intake ourselves. There have been numerous posts in different threads with people asking "when are the dual cone intakes going to be available"....and everytime they kept saying something like "we may not even offer one..but they're very easy to build yourselves". I said the same thing to Dustin when he came up 3 months ago...he told me he'd show me how to build one myself...but ended up just bringing me one from their shop.

So I'm not sure why you're so pissed off about this....they've been saying the same thing as you for months!

And we even say it in the first post of this thread

Anyway, for those who want to buy it instead of make it, you can place the order here:

We only have 50 kits in production right now. Pipes are currently getting powder coated and will be finished mid next week. So we expect to ship out all the orders next Friday. We'll eventually make another production run. When depends on how much demand there is. We're not in the intake making business but this kit should have made available a year ago.

Cheers,
shiv

And while we're at it, $26 for two short sections of 2.25" pipe? Now THAT is some serious mark up. Why do you complain about that?

Guess you should have come out with the $150 intake? Shiv should teach business 101 too

Who's heard the intake? I'm all for some more induction noise, but I hope its not too loud.

i really like the way it sounds, i don't think these little turbos can make an intrusive amount of noise...?

Shiv

Will this setup work if we have a BOV installed?

If it does I'll get one right now

Thanks,

Ado

shiv, I know that this isnt your product, but I assume you probably have a pretty good idea about its performance specs etc...

if I'm running the SSTT (11.5 psi I believe max), will I see any gains from this? Or will there be no/negative effect from this intake?

I realize, you probably arent testing cars with SSTT on, but just a general, not quite 340 whp car, any gains, or...why bother?

Cheers

I was also concerned that it would be too loud...however like I mentioned before...it makes the perfect amount of sound. You can only hear them in lower gears....under boost. Just a light whoooosh type sound. Not overbearing at all. I've had it for 3 months now....and love it.

I'm not pissed, I'm just saying you can make it yourself for $50 and it was everyone who jumped my ass.

To be honest, I really don't know. I've never run anything other than stock or Forge bypass valves. So your guess is as good as mine
