We were testing the last months on different surfaces and playing around with the torque distribution, to make those xDrive cars actually better to handle in various situations. Over the next weeks the outcome will find it's way into xDelete and enable people to not only switch AWD fully ON/OFF, but also get access to presets for Snow, Gravel, Wet etc.

Those upates will be free of charge, so included with the License for one vehicle.

I really hoped rather then believed that this would be a possibility with x delete when it first came out, so seeing this made my day. I am so looking forward to this, you guys are really out doing yourself again.

We are aware of the demand, trust me. We are pretty sure we CAN do it, but the F-Series xDrive is a lot harder to work with. As soon as we something ready, we'll announce.

When F series support happens will it include both the N55 and B58 models or just early N55 cars? I appreciate your guys efforts.

Pretty sure the xDrive control unit is still separate from the DME so I'd imagine it'll work on both, along with the 4 cylinder engines as well.

Those options are just extra. We only need to switch AWD/RWD. I cant imagine why you'd need a RWD +Snow, gravel, or rain.

No, the only reason I would use this is to adjust my torque bias.

What is the concept of how the torque split is changed? Is this done by reducing the force applied to the xfer case wet clutch to allow more slippage (bad idea) which would reduce torque to the front wheels or by modifying the way DSC behaves in these different situations?

The car does it stock, all it does is change the algorithm. Wouldn't hurt anything

I don't know how it would be feasible but I would love to see some sort of trial option for a more nominal fee. I'm very tempted to buy the license but I'm not 100% sure it will fix the issue I'm experiencing and don't want to take a $150 gamble.

Google Play purchases can be canceled and refunded. Pretty sure you can just go to your purchase list after you buy it and click refund if you decide you don't want to keep it (no need to contact support).

Is this worth it if I am not planning on adding an LSD?

I would say mostly for daily driving. I do not plan on doing any burnouts or drifting.

So gas mileage? I mean, again, its only a mod if you want it be.

rwd n54 cars are very traction limited with any kind of power above stock fed in, but most enjoy it and put it down with decent tire upgrades. An lsd is obviously best.

I've been looking into ways to go rwd for my e91.

I wonder if xdelete could prolong my Transfer Case's life. I'm told it is beginning to bind up on very sharp left turns.

My thinking is opening the clutch should alleviate this until I can replace the TC.

Any thoughts?

No, that won't work.

No, does not affect it. No need to reflash or change something. You can code the transfer case, so it knows it now sits in an MT car, but again this does not have effect on xDelete.

We can't guarantee you that. It depends on the type of error. If for example the motor and the gearing inside the the transfer case are worn, xDelete will help as the motor does not have to move any longer. If you already have issues with the front differential or the joints, it likely will not help that much.

But generally speaking, would you say that driving your car in RWD mode (using xDelete) will put less stress on the transfer case than normal xDrive, effectively prolonging the transfer case's lifespan?
