I am going to have to find a DIY on the ecu removal also.(My nearest Dinan dealer is 5.5 hrs each way.) I talked to Dinan today about ecu removal and was told it isnt too bad. Little tip i was given, when you put it back in you have to put they key in and almost start it(put key in and push styart without clutch in) 4 or 5 times to get rid of any error codes after reinstalling. After that Should be fine.

Pulling the ECU is not overly complicated. Just take your time. There are a few videos out there, just search.

So I had the Dinan stage 2 flash done in 10/08 and my car is a post 3/08 build so they had to ship the ECU to Dinan to flash.. I just had the car data logged last weekend and boost peaked in the 13's, so it is more than the 12.8psi reported here.. however there was considerable drop off in the higher revs and the boost fluttered around a lot.. The bottom end and throttle response has always been real strong, it's just not consistent throughout the range as there is a dramatic drop off in power and this was confirmed through the datalogging.. I wonder how this would compare to the revision 1? Any feedback?

Don't know if this is still an issue, but I just spoke with Chris as well today. He confirmed differences in Version 1 vs. Version 2 for Stage 2 -V2 was the result of folks with Step complaining about V1. He agreed that folks with 6MT prefer V1 - all original tuning was done on a 6MT. V2 is the only version that is CARB certified, not V1. They are not making V1 available for new purchase at any dealer. I forgot to ask whether they'd be making V1 re-available for existing customers that got switched to V2.
