It's not their software, but they hack it and package it, and make it available, so they have some work put into it. Nonetheless, here ISTA packager is not selling anything. In this case, your are paying CT Forum for full forum access, which ISTA packager is not the recipient of any payment. It's an indirect cost to be able to contact ISTA packager and get your PC HWID License. As for £25 being steep, where else can you get a complete diagnostic solution for BMW for less than cost of a tank of gas?

Fair point...it's just that no where was it mentioned that there was a 30 Euro cost to register hence bit of a surprise as the previous ISTA+ versions can be installed without a unique key but obviously this version needs a unique key for the obvious reasons...

On another thought...I don't know much about the versions etc. and the reason why I downloaded 4.32.20 was because that seemed to be the only one suitable for G series...However, just thinking that If I download the 4.32.15 (doesn't require unique license) which is located in the Update Files section of the mega site, would that be suitable for E, F and G?

Does this 4.32.15 update file include all the files etc to install the software like the 4.32.20 folder or is it only a 'update file' which is used to update a previous existing running version of ISTA +? If it is only a update file, can I download the 4.17.41 version (which is for E and F series) and then update it to 4.32.15 so that it can be used for G series?

No idea. I don't use any of these packages myself, so I can't advise.

Yes it Ista 4.32.15 support g series

When your looking to do the updates to Ista+ , look at the file sizes.
The versions that are over 100gb are full updates and the smaller versions are just small updates / patches

So version 4.32.15 + 4.34.13 are full updates.

Install ISTA +4.32.20 then update to ISTA+ 4.34.1x (FULL & DELTA), if want the most upto date version

Use Ista Launcher Console to install the update

On the serial key side of things, its completely out of my hands, only one person gives out the keys and its locked to your hardware.
He doesnt charge for it and your allowed upto 3 requests. All future versions will use the same key that your are given.

All this had to be brought in, as too many people were making money from selling his work.

Personally the cost to join the forum is worth every penny

Yes, if the above is not possible then I will go ahead with the 30 Euros route and its not that expensive I suppose. Good to know there are 3 requests for the same key...

I made an account on car technology forums and got the license - it all worked perfectly fine and the installation was also very good for 4.32.20 - Thanks to JOK5RS. It worked perfectly fine with a 2017 730d!

Setup process can vary depending on the download you got.
I didn't use the single step downloads I see more reports of people getting
into trouble with those.
