as to #1, that's very respectable. even mature. as to #2, she's not my date. it's the receptionist at my law firm, she came over at like 7pm and now it says 18:30 left on the oven timer. this better be teh best damn lasagne ever :mad:

Thanks for everyone's input. I was curious as to what type of responses i'd recieve back. Everyone's opinion was helpful and i appreciate it.

I just feel that since I'm moving away to college, i really dont need this right before i leave everything behind. Im gonna miss my friends and family enough, let alone some guy. But because my mind is set on moving, i havent been able to date or be close to anyone. So if i were to go to italy, then i went from step 1 (not even thinking about boys) to step 10 (spending 10 days with someone in italy). Id love to go to italy, trust me, if i was any other type of girl, im sure she would go.. but i just dont think its in me.

And honestly, i just wanna be single for the moment.

If you say that this guy is your friend then trust your GUT. Why are people putting so much stock in another persons looks. What should matter most is how this person treats you, and how he makes you feel. The fact that his parents are filthy rich should have very little to do with your decision. Money can be here today, and gone tomorrow, but a TRUE friendship and TRUE Love is what last a life time!

The fact that this guy is willing to pay for most of the trip is good I think him asking you to pay $400 is his way of making you feel more comfortable about going. By doing this, you wont feel like you are getting something for nothing.

Be careful, take a chance, and always enjoy life! We only have one.

What are the age differences if any?

Just based on your own personal timing and your situation, you likely made the right move. As you said it is Italy and you'd have a blast, but if you got attached to him then there is a whole other headache involved afterwards.

151 was the last time I drank hard stuff - took 6 shots on an empty stomach in 5 minutes. I almost passed out the party later that night but I guess it worked out because that's how I hooked up with my current woman!

My cousin was not as lucky - he took 9 shots on an empty stomach - later passed out and minutes later, his breathing also stopped. Rushed his ass to the ER and I suppose they worked magic in resuscitating him. He hasn't been drinking ever since

I still have that bottle of 151 in the cupboards - it has perhaps 5 shots left in it and nobody touched the bottle since 3 years ago when it was first opened.
