Judging by the price of the 328i coupe, it's fairly obvious that the price difference between the sedan and coupe models will be larger than it ever has...I'd guess at least $2000. This became apparent when we started finding out about coupe specific trims, colors, etc - BMW wants to further differentiate the coupe from the sedan. I really wouldn't expect an MSRP of any more than $33,000 for the base sedan (in this case the 328i - unless we're going to see a 323i after all?). Figure ~33k for the 328 sedan and ~38k for the 335. In any case, it's pretty obvious that the 335 sedan will be under 40k regardless of BMW's strategy at this point.

^ can you just go up to Oregon and buy it and then drive it down to CA?

It'd be worth the several grand you'd save in taxes wouldn't it?

Ha, ha... very funny.

You know what I mean by we don't pay taxes on our purchases. No sales tax!

If someone got lucky enought to purchase a 330i at invoice. I'd be surprised if they didn't do any mods.

But then again, maybe there is...

I was just about to make this point.

Wouldn't a base model and taxes alone make the car about 42 to 43K?

Yeah, we don't have sales tax but we get corn-holed on our state income taxes.

Must-have options?

Isn't that an oxymoron?

You can have this car for 41k if you really wanted it bad enough. Sorry, but I don't feel the least bit sorry for anyone complaining about price.

Should we start guessing on E90 335 pricing and announcement date?? I mean nothing else seems to be as interesting on the old E90 post.

I'm thinking a little over $41K (including destination) for an E90 335 with sport and metallic paint...which is the way I am leaning currently...so less expensive than my ZHP was.

I would pay an extra $30 a month to have the car now, rather than later. If you don't want to, thats cool.....Larger dealers moving units...Lol, seriously. Allocation is allocation, and the demand will be there trust me, more than what you expect. all the nurses in the area, the single ladies looking for the new hot coupe,AWD, they will be rolling in by the dozen. Everyone i sell will pay STICKER. You want it, you can have it.The demand will justify the price. in April I sold a Z4 3.0 is for sticker, why? cause it was one of the first ones off the truck, now I have 6 on the lot, we discount them sure, but that first hit always will happen.
Idiot salespeople like you are the reason why everyone should send out a fax to 10-15 dealerships, outlining their pricing, and wait for call-backs. People like you will not respond, but 6 other dealerships eager to sell will. That's how I got my car for $400 over invoice, in a "competitive" market like Austin, TX. Local dealership was lame and would only offer $500 below MSRP for cars on the lot -- bought in DFW for $400 over invoice for same car...well worth the 180 mile drive. Good luck with your hard-ball pricing...people with half a clue won't go for it. You are insane if you think you deserve an extra $1000 from "single ladies" and "nurses" as you describe.

Unless you do ED. That would come out to about $39k. :rocks:

yeah I would never pay Sticker for any car. I could just wait a month or two and save thousands. Or I could just do ED and still save thousands. Or I could do both ED and switch to Geico and save a bunch on my car insurance.

Did you guys never buy the car in the past or what? Every car loan gives you 5 business days to pay off without interest or penalty. I bought my e90 the same way. I picked up the car at dealer with no money on hand, but just a credit card. I put $2500 down and took the car home. Dealers don't care how you pay for the car, cash or finance, they have to finance you with a dealer loan called back-up loan in case your checks bounce or your own finance's cancelled. I came back to the dealer 4 days later with 2 checks and paid it off. You don't need to surprise them at all.

Oh yeah? and you think they allow you to carry the Oregon license plate in California for long? By the time you get the CA license plate, you'll pay a shit load of money on registration and documentation from $3000 - $4000. Let's see if you can cheat the government on that. I know that no one can.

The discussion on prices was for BASE model. It's so funny that people like you who were thousands off on the price come back saying "well, it's what I said it would be with those options" when the entire time, the discussion was for the BASE price. Just because you think that certain packages are "must haves" does not mean that defines the car as "base".

Also, just because someone can afford 40K, but doesnot want to spend 47K, does not mean that the person cannot afford the car. You sound like a little kid sometimes, especially in some of your older posts where you're arguing with wyrm. Face it: you were wrong; it's not a big deal. So stop making excuses like "well, I was right, because with tax, and some options, it comes to $170K, like I said it would". A car with ZPP, ZSP, CA and Nav is not base. Maybe you have difficulty understanding that.

If this was the "Price is Right" you would have lost.

Ofcourse, I umm "suggested" in November 2005:
$41k for the 335 Turbo (off by $400)
$36k for the 328 (off by $700)

Although, as time went on, I shifted down slightly to $40k for the Turbo .

Hmm... makes you wonder...
