The only thing I remembered was that I paid around $3,400 extra for taxes and registration fee(Thanks a lot Mr. Terminator!) But I don't mine......she's worth every penny of it!

I bought my E90 (320i, 2.0lt, 150bhp) with the sport package (17'' wheels 159, sport seats, sport suspension, sport seats), xenon lights (not adaptive), fog lights, leather (not electrical), no iDrive, no professional audio system, automatic 2zone clima, 41500 Euros (1 Euro = 1,247 $, or 51750 $). I must say that I live in Greece. Have I bought the 330i with the same equipment I would have pay about 56000 Euros (70000 $). I believe that this price is outrageous comparing with the prices of Germany or even America (US have the smallest price worlwide).

I think you need to also add Sat. Prep to your below list. If so, that should equal $43,620 MSRP (US Delivery, pre Sept. '05 price increase). Invoice would be $39,985.
Your price of $42,000 is basically a 5% premium over invoice. In my opinion, this is a slightly better to better than average deal, though not a great deal in the US market as a whole. Considering your Seattle market conditions, it might be considered a good deal. A great deal in my opinion is a 3% premium or less, though I couldn't tell you if that's feasible in your market. I would definitely try to negotiate more off the deal. At a minimum, I believe you can ask for the CD changer you mentioned to be added on without increasing your $42,000 price. Don't be afraid to walk, because I'm sure your salesperson will not want to lose this sale on a CD changer or another 1% off the premium. Quote:

you're right - i didn't add the satellite prep.
if i were to attempt a renegotiation at this point, the dealer would simply tell me he'd be able to sell the car @ MSRP and wish me a good day as any new inventory would be subject to the 9/1 price increase, which he claims is $508.00 (1.1%). any future negotiations would be very difficult to get back in the 42K range here, i'm almost certain. -e- Last edited by etherbored; 08-18-2005 at 02:39 PM.. So far I've been able to pull down the dealers to $500 over invoice, options at invoice. I'm in the Bay Area, I know at least 2-3 dealers are willing to play ball with this number.

Will walk out the door tomorrow after writing a check for $39,475.00
(taxes of $1,870.00 plus tags of $205.00 included). Since the dealership is throwing in the floor mats as well, Im going to see if i can squeeze out mud flaps, cargo net or both
