where do the blue and black wires go out to? i haven't looked at the fogs plugs yet, but from what i remember of the angel eye install, there was a black male and female plugs not wires... umm any clues/hints... i'm pretty damn confused... and i didn't fully read this thread out, and got a full sized ballast, does that make any difference? isn't the digital ones just slimmer? or is there more to it? thx team! |

so here's mine... soldering guns are so much harder than soldering pens hence the terrible looking solder points... but looks sufficient even though it's not very clean so yeah where do the black and blue wires lead to...? do i need anything additional to this? there wasn't anythign else to the package...so yeah |

i have a issue, hopefully some one can help me out. I picked up a set of H11 8k for my fogs from a local company. I went with them because they give the capacitors free with the HID unit as long as you ask for them. going on a 2007 328i.
The issue I have ran into is the capacitors keep blowing out. I made sure the lights were wired correct, which give the flickering effect. If i wired it the other way, no power want so ever. Don't know if someone is local that can help me out with this issue. They already sent me two sets of capacitors to help me out. I got one more set on the way and really don't want to mess those up. here is what i did. I wired them as such, just as instructed here is the complete set up. capacitors are prewired and cover as such i cut one open a blown one to see what size capacitors they are, they are 10000 wired this way in order to get power cause as stated before, if i wired the other way, there is no power to the unit. pretty much stuck right now and don't know what to do. any help would be great and if anyone local can help with this and get them to work, i would buy food or beer. |

I got my ebay kit in the mail. It looks like the same kit in the picture above but ... they didn't include the harness with the capacitor.

that is why i went with the company i bought them from because they included them at no extra cost. Over all the kit only cost me $57 total. It just more wasting my time to get them to work.

Comparing the two pictures...the harness clip where it's connected to the ballast is on the outside on this one.
I don't know if it means anything but ... something I noticed. Also, I think 200Duece connected the car harness directly to the one with the capacitor. I think he took the other additional wires out of the rubber boot. I don't know if it matters because it's additional wiring that makes it 12" longer ....but it might? Good Luck on the fix. Quote:

yeah, i notice that too, but figure that was ok just to add the capacitors. Dont really know if the extra wires make a difference or not. that was my next way of connecting it, but i didn't want to mess up the capacitors for the third time. But you do have a good point.

The yellow fogs (3000K) actually cut through fog better than 4350 OEM - it's a safety thing - not 100% aesthetics. If you live in a foggy area (like I do) the fogs do help out a lot, better than a 4350/5000/6000k hid fog conversion. I have multiple sets and the yellows work best in bad weather. To each his own, but I just wanted to chime in that it's not completely for looks. just my .02.
