yandyr,
We all know I have no technical no-how when it comes to car tuning at all.. I never even pretended to have such knowledge. All I have ever done is try to get people to be truthful and honest in what they are posting about on this message board. No one here compares apples to apples, ever. Also, there are far more people on the take on this message board then anyone will ever know. So many shady deals surrounding these piggy backs. You're local to me, heck I think we even met before (at Morikami?).. why would I make things up?

White 135i, right? Ya, no problem man. People love to attack me because I questioned the $230 price on the BMS PnP cables after saying I was considering buying a V4 for $1095. Then they like to go off on me because I question the assertion that you don't need a BT cable when buying a JB3. Seems to be a record of people attacking me because I question things around here.. go figure.

I didn't say only 1% of the market wants diagnostics, LOL. He was saying that if you want "the best" then you "have to include the P3 gauge" (referring to cost analysis). My saying that what he was pointing out only applies to 1% of the market and is therefore pretty pointless applies to the assertion that you actually need to get a P3 gauge. I mean in a couple of weeks the V4 will have its own boost gauge (which is going to be free for current owners).... Evidently I have to be specific.

No, you definitely don't "need" a P3 gauge, but calling it ghetto is another thing I don't have one, don't really want one. But it is a nice piece of hardware that looks very well integrated and almost OEM. Either way, we can probably go back and forth all day, really no point. We can have a nice friendly discussion at the next meet.

I do not argue over the internet; it is pointless and IMO, childish. I will discuss the technical merits and how they apply to each tune as I do understand how and why each tune does what it does. I will also strive to provide data for one’s own interpretation. However, these intentions and efforts are significantly thwarted recently due to a lack of desire. That lack of desire is twofold. First if lack of available time. Second is the lack of civility and decency on this forum. It seems you cannot provide data and theory without it turning into a scandal. In addition, few seem to think on their own and only regurgitate what they have been told even at times when such statements are found to be false and later acknowledged by tuners. I will still help those who request assistance. But the juvenile antics are a turn off from day to day involvement. And no, I am not arguing any point, just stating an opinion on what I have observed. |

But I do agree, that civility in this forum is past its prime.

I truly love you pcmike, I really do. I feel that a lot of people have good intentions but fail at wording.
This forum isn't that bad as far as being civil is concerned, try E46Fanatics.

WOW...this had a potential to be a great thread by the OP! Unfortunately, things went south with people nit picking his ball park prices and continued to snowball, losing sight of the overall intent...it's the OP's personal review. I'v heard and read amazing things on both products and they both seem to stand on their own (and generate profits). I wish people would try harder at being constructive instead of shredding each other apart. I wonder if people are that militant about the toothpaste they use too...how about a Colgate vs Crest forum war?!

Fuck Colgate, it's overpriced and doesn't give you the brushing power that you can get from Crest.
In all seriousness, I hate how this forum gets so one sided about whichever tune they decided to go with. I would love to try a procede and if I feel it's better, I'd drop the JB3 in a heart beat. Whatever happened to buying what is best for yourself? It's not like buying into Scientology, It's a product. |

So where is the rest of the review? Having owned a JB3 for well over a year and maintaining a good relationship with Terry, and now owning a Procede Rev2, I am very interested in seeing if I concur with the final assessment.

I should post MY JB3/Procede review. I have no vested interest in either BMS or Vishnu or received any sponsorship or favoritism from either. Hell I did not buy either my JB3 or Procede directly from the tuner, both were purchased used.
After another few weeks or so of driving around on the Procede, I'll do it.
