Take the cost of any other tune and add a BT cable and you'll be at the V4's price point.
Now factor in all the features of the Procede vs other tunes and not only do you get an awesome tune with a ton of features, but the ability to remove the tuner codes/datalog for the same price of a conventional tune & the bt cable. |

In the spirit of keeping the thread honest.. that's not really true at all. The Procede is $945 for the tune, plus another $10-41 for a USB/serial cable and let's just standardize on $15 shipping.. that brings the cost to $970-1,001. On the other hand the JB3 PnP+BT (1vin) is $699, plus another $35 for USB cable and $15 shipping for a grand total of $749. That's a difference of $221-252, not an insignificant sum to some. Of course you can get into a debate on the useful life of the BT cable and the fact that the Procede doesn't have a VIN limit..... but I digress.

Shiv : when you say Launch control , what does it mean ? Cuz I know the DCT cars already has launch control , so do you mean Launch control for AT ??? , then u gotta be kidding if this will happen ..

DCT cuts out power which prevents you from losing traction.
I'm guessing Shiv is referring to traditional launch control which sets a temporary "rev limit" so you can mash the accelerator pedal and the rpms will bounce off that temp rev limit to allow easier launching. For example you depress the clutch while the car is stopped and step on the gas, the engine will be limited to a certain RPM which allows you to slip the clutch and launch with ease rather than doing a massive burn out from launching at too high of an RPM or bogging/stalling from launching at a low RPM. Think of it as a temporary rev limit to help you launch. I never thought I'd use it in my previous cars but it's incredibly useful even off the track. |
